What is the correct pressure btw?

PS : I heard quite pronounced sound when moving the bike(engine switched off) yesterday. The sound is coming from the front chain-sprocket most probably(as if the chain is being obstructed by something or as if the sprocket and chain are not in harmony. It goes like 'kat', kat, kat, kat as the bike is moved forward ). This may be due to the reason that the chain has not been cleaned and lubed till now(650+ km) or more probably due to the chain tightening DIY I did on the bike a week back, which it now seems must have been a botched DIY . I am worried the rear wheel is misaligned ever so sightly and hence the chain is not able to move freely as the sound started coming after that but has become louder now. I did not ride it yesterday and will surely go the SVC tomorrow.
I dont think a rear wheel misalignment would result in the sound coming from the front of the chain assembly. Can you make sure the sound is not just the chain sliding over the rubber bushing?
Also do you have a paddock stand to mount the duke to tighten the chain?
Live to ride.. ride to forget..

You donot need a paddock stand to do it man. The manual doesn't require one for chain tightening. Even the guys at the svc don't deploy the paddock stand for chain tightening.
A rear wheel misalignment might result in the chain not getting seemlessly slotted into the front sprocket teeth. No? I may be wrong as my understanding is limited when it comes to bike mechanicals.

          • Hi Guys, initially I was looking at a RE classic 500, but after a suggestion from a friend went to ktm in Gurgaon.
Had a blast doing a test ride of the duke, and now leaning towards it.
            Pros.
crossed 100kph effortlessly, good handling and suspension, decent brakes, great sound.
            Cons
concerned about the reliability of the bike, a bit of courseness in the engine, jerky in the 1st & 2nd gears, touring ability, low exhaust (for leh, etc.), a bit of offroading ?

What will be the cost of performance mods, the sales guy said that any mods done like exhaust, air filter, etc will void the warranty. Because if I go for this bike it will be for the performance and fun factor.
Existing owners please elaborate on the above points, please give your views and suggestions, and help me make an informed decision.

Jerkiness you are talking about here is, what is called, more engine braking, my friend. KTM 200 has a higher compression ratio & thus the jerkiness because as soon as you chop of the throttle, the engine braking kicks in. Yes, it might not be able to be an able tourer but nothing is impossible.

                I fill 25/29 25/32 W/Pillion and handling is perfect.

I had the same issue when I tried to DIY the chain tension!!! I then went to the SVC in Lower Parel and they said that the wheel was misaligned and also the chain was made too tight because of which it made a Tahk Tahk sound whenever I was rolling it in to park it.
