    Hi xplod566,

    Accept the fact.

Yes, u will get water splashes when u drive on wet roads with or without the saree guard.

I'm in Bangalore, it rains quite often here and when i drive alone on a rainy day even my helmet and jacket get splashed from back. And my pant gets dirtied anyway.

I learnt to live without the saree guard infact... Bcz i love the raw and aggressive look of naked Duke. And when i see wet roads i reduce the speed asap to less than 15kmph. And, on rainy days i can't help it but the bike and me get dirty... So after the ride I clean Duke immediately before it dries and then clean myself...

You can use a bag with a cover to protect you/pillion from splashes.

You can do mods as paradox has done... But again it's upto you. Looks-vs-Practicality...

I hope this answers your question.

Hi... I noticed you have used pulsar mirrors...

I actually use the stock duke mirrors but the only thing is that i reversed them..and they give damn good rear view.

Your observation skills are amazing bro yes.. they are from pulsar 135.. They offer twice the view.. I didn't try reversing the mirrors like you did.. I didn't think of that.. Will check your method

It will splash and make the bike and chains dirty.. That's why the mod
Our Indian roads are very bad during monsoons and roads at Chennai are FUBAR so I didn't have much choice but to resort to this.. also it doesn't look that bad when you look at it in person..

I am 28,6 feet and 89 Kgs.I shift gears t around 4.5 - 5 rpm and generally a sane rider.Hardly redline.I will msotly(95%) time drive in Bangalore city and 200 kms may be highway drive once a month.

A lot.a lot.fuel evaporation after so many fixes, terrible jerk, bike leaning to left giving me right arm pain, terrible break feedback, often hard to tilt left and feels it's gonna fall even in slight leanness, terrible fairing noise....its a long list bro..but I still love the engine and thats what made me drove the bike for 12k kms...its a beautiful engine

                  Hey Buddy,

I was doing the chain service the other day and found out the screw of the chain guard was loose. See the pic...i'm referring to this screw.Click image for larger version

I screwed it back and was a bit shocked to see that there was no Nut behind that screw near the rear shock absorber. Can anyone post a pic of that...? from the opposite side of the pic that is attached above....
I tightened it without the rear nut... the sound has reduced a lot but it has not gone fully.

I didn't have time to remove the tail section...wil report about this later.

Hey guys, just wanna know few things.
                    1) what is the cruising speed of D200 on highway? (like a constant speed where you can ride without any stress to engine)
2)what is the average mileage both in city and highway? (in which speed bike gives more mileage)
                    3) how is the bike in Bangalore traffic?
                    4) do you feel the need of ABS? (I read it somewhere in this thread that bike slips off in slush)
                    5) Does the new models heats up in city?

Well its a city bike with a very short gearing .. Imagine you can ride the bike @35kmph on 5th gear with out the engine lugging.. That's how short it is..
So that results in "could have been better" kind of cruising speed..

The bike does 100kmph at exactly 7.5k rpm which I feel is high..
But you can cruse in 80kmph all day.. It won't stress the engine.
I personally find my sweet spot at 88kmph..

I do short speed bursts In the city which obviously includes redlines and I ride at 65~70 kmph. That gives me around ~25kmpl (bumper to bumper traffic).

When you ride in a sane way, I heard that the duke can give you 30~ kmpl.

If I ride sanely I.e... Shifting gears at 4~5k rpm and riding at 65 or 70 kmph.. I am getting around ~30kmpl.

But on the highways, if you ride at 80 ish kmph, you get around ~35kmpl at times 40kmpl.

If you do triple digits which is very easy on this bike, the mileage figures will drop significantly.
If you drive at 100kmph, expect 22kmpl.

The brakes are sharp indeed but if you get used to the bikes braking, you may not actually need abs.. But its a very good safety feature..

Yes the bike feels little unstable when you ride in a very muddy road or sand.. Off roading with the stock mrfs .. Not advised.. Change to dual purpose tyres and you can off road.

Mine is a 2015 model and she is a hot headed chick. She heats up and the radiator kicks in every now and then in bumper to bumper traffic.

But on the highways, the radiator fan doesn't engage that frequently like in the city...

                            Hope this helps

P.s. my bike jerks below 3.5k rpm.. Common issue with fuel injected bikes I am assuming.. Due to mapping of the ecu..

Anyone using powertronic or kirrus maps here? Need your inputs here..

Most of the your questions has been answered by Paradox.

                                W.R.T Bangalore:

Mine is 2014 Model and I get around 35~42kmpl in city.... and on highways i get around 25~28kmpl as i am in 100~110kmph speed. Calculation based on tankful to tankful method.

Don't worry about the heat of bike in traffic....It's very much bearable and on winters/rainy days u have your personal body warmer...

ABS kicks in when you brake... I has no relation to that of handling of bike in slushy road..

Has anyone here tried the Moto Torque Silencers....? If yes, please give me some reviews[Pro's and Con's].
