Re: KTM 200 Duke
if you have the rear tyre hugger, it should NOT happen, you might want to recheck & reconfirm..Originally posted by xplod566 View Post

Re: KTM 200 Duke
yes, even with the rear hugger there will be some spray over that will hit the rear seat area. so if a pillion is seated, their back is bound to be splattered with muck in rains.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostHi all

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Oh that's a disastrous news for me as my pillion is very clear about it that mud splash shouldnt be there.also in Bangalore when in rains then at that time it will be troublesome for us.anyway can we keep this from happening as the slightest mud splash can be a deal breaker for me.Originally posted by s1d View Postyes, even with the rear hugger there will be some spray over that will hit the rear seat area. so if a pillion is seated, their back is bound to be splattered with muck in rains.Last edited by xplod566; 12-26-2015, 03:59 AM.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
If u switching from the as 200 jump to a bigger bike, a 390 or TNT 300 or r3 or ninja, not worthit going for marginally more power.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostHi guys
Can anyone with 2015 model Duke 200 confirm me as to how refined the bike is.I heard its pretty awesome and extremly refined compared to previous models.
I have a Pulsar AS200 and i am getting a very good deal on it(Around 88K with 10100 Kms on the ODO and 6 months old).So after taking a Test drive of Duke 200 i was blown away by its sheer acceleration and agility.Thinking of making a switch. Will it be wise to do it? @s1d can you please shed some light on it as i would love to hear from you....

i haven't done anything about it on my bike, so cannot give you a definitive solution.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostOh that's a disastrous news for me as my pillion is very clear about it that mud splash shouldnt be there.also in Bangalore when in rains then at that time it will be troublesome for us.anyway can we keep this from happening as the slightest mud splash can be a deal breaker for me.
you could try a juggad that resembles the r15 v2 hugger design.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
I get rain splashes till my ****ing helmet. Although I have a tail tidy installed. If you are using normal rear mud guard, the splashes are normal, around your rear seat. But the pillion will definitely get dirty, but only in rainy seasons.Originally posted by yoginder View PostForget about pillion...rider gets his pants all dirty in rainy season.....

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Most likely yes, but ask your dealer. A good rapport with the svc will mitigate issues if and when you have to claim warranty.. you might lose out on warranty on electrical parts though such as stator coil, ignition coil, wiring etc.. but maybe not on other stuff such as say a radiator fan, fuel pump etc..Originally posted by Pritesh Patel View PostHey guys if i install a projector light in my duke, will it void my warranty? They shopkeeper told me that he wont cut any wires so warranty will not be affected.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Hey guys, my Duke seems to have developed a real aversion to idling and slow speeds!!! It only wants to go fast!! Here is what I faced 2 days ago while coming back from a short ride.
1. The bike does not want to idle for more than a minute, tops.
2. The engine turns off as soon as the clutch is disengaged while changing from 2nd to 1st or if you changed down or up but do net let the clutch out.
3. When you crank the engine it would not start easily unless you leave the throttle alone and keep cranking for 10 seconds in each attempt. Then it will die as soon as you open the throttle. You have to open the throttle very gently to ensure that the engine does'nt turn off. This happened at least 4 times in the short 15 kms ride.
4. Riding on slow speeds had become difficult because the engine kept shutting down. It would shut down as soon as the clutch is disengaged. Low rpm riding had become a huge problem.
I some how babied it home and have not used it for 2 days. Will take her to the service centre tomorrow. I am unable to figure out. And a Low Battery warning also came up a few days ago but it went away and did not reappear. Any ideas guys whats wrong with her? Dirty throttle body? Fuel issues? And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high.

Could be a dirty throttle body..
Ensure you fill fuel from the same bunk.. Don't change brands..
Could be an issue with the injector..
When you crank the engine, do you get the smell of petrol from the exhaust?
Signs of incomplete combustion?
There might also be misfires..
Fuel injector issues may also give the issues you mentioned.
Get a fuel injector cleaner may be that would help..
