Why isn't KTM providing manual along with the duke ? Isn't it compulsory to read the manual well before using the machine ?

they do, at-least they did. din't you get the manual which also has the service schedule/coupons ? The manual has got slimmer compared to a year ago though.
You can also download the manual from ktm's website.

I just got an thin book consisting coupons that's it nothing else I don't see any operating manual on their website. But shouldn't KTM provide an manual which we guys think abosolutely necessary to read and understand about the machine.
Is it so expensive to provide an operating manual when we are buying a duke for 1.60L

Manual is their on the website. They are providing only service booklet. Most of us don't read the manual so it is better not to give a fat booklet and provide a soft copy instead. Easy to carry around in a smart phone.

But even when we are getting an operative manual for cheaper bikes can't they provide for their bikes.
Isn't it always adviced by bike enthusiasts to read the operative manual like an bible.

Yes.I agree with you.nothing is better than a hard copy.its very easy to look through it to any page you want.instead to remember it on a digital copy is hard

I haven't yet but it seems here its pretty costly.I don't know the price though.
Couple of my office colleagues order from there and they told it takes up to 1 month but its worth the wait.

KTM is supposed to provide a manual -- for Pete's sake any motorcycle that's new is supposed to come with a manual, unless the company clearly gives you digital manual in any feasible way. You are entitled to request for the owner's manual when you receive the keys to your motorcycle off of showroom.
