Cops actually come to me and ask a lot of question regarding the bike and they know since its a new bike, all the papers will be in order. Only once in the middle of the night they asked for the papers, even then he didn't check it. Just ensured it was there and left me... after asking the questions of mileage, make, CC etc

Ask your Dad to Test Drive it... if hes a Yezdi fan, he'll surely love it... however, he might start doubting your responsibility on this bike.. so play it smart... Looks wise it's a Naked Bike..so it how it'll be .. show him pictures of other Naked bikes, KTM's older siblings etc...

    • @Owners :- I am considering the Duke 200 as my next option, my lower back has been troubling me for the past couple of years. I have read from owners here that the ride quality is stiff, I want to know at the softest suspension setting how is the ride quality of the duke 200.

Ride quality is ok, its the seat material/form which is a bit on the harder side.

          QUOTE]

This reminads me of an incident.
Few weeks back myself and my female friend were chatting in a deserted road near the seewoods NRI complex here in Navi Mumbai. We were sitting on the footpath with bike parked next to us.This would be around 10 at night. A police patrol party suddenly comes out of nowhere on a Pulsar and stops. All types of the usual uncomfortable and embarrassing questions and probes follow. The rider was a bit rude and was a typical 'MNS-style-Manoos'.
After ensuring all docs are in place which meant no leeway for quick bucks, he adviced us too ride away and that the place was not safe. The pandu who was riding pillion was however ogling at the bike all this while. I asked him how does it look? he says," SEXY hai dost. Kaun si hai "? had a little friendly chat with him and he they left.
The bike sure does leave an impression on most

                • Had an accident, What do I do?

                  Hello Guys,
I had a bad day met with a small of accident on my duke. I was on my way to work and there was some congestion on a narrow stress of road, when road seen to be bit free i started to rev was at abt 15-20 Km/hr a guy just overtook me from left side and had a nick with my handle i applied both brakes and bike skids, the biker ran off i didn't even got time to see which bike it was or to catch him. Damages ascertained are:-
                  1. Tank Cover had a crack
                  2. Portion below tank cover (black portion) had heavy scratch
                  3. Leg guard had been bend
                  4. Rear brake lever
                  5. Rear brake lever holder
                  6. Handle Bar Bend
                  7. Right Hand Grip
                  8. Right Side Mirror

Estimated cost for this would be around 5000+ with labor. I had few question:-
                  1. Do minor accidental qualify for insurance claims.
                  2. Should i claim insurance.
                  3. The Insurance is from ICICI Lombard and they don't have KTM service centre for Cashless facility, what is the procedure & what document do i need to take from KTM SVC.

Guys do help me to figure it out.

Guys do help me to figure it out.
If its costing you 5000 +, do go for insurance. Infact thats why insurance cover is there. I believe you can claim the damaged part (Major/ Minor) under insurance.
I hope you are fine! It has happened to me so many times, people unnecessarily & awkwardly try to overtake to have a better view of bike from their RVM which causes nuisance on road.

                          • Hi Guys,

I also had few issues that sadly still persists. Wonder if someone else is facing similar issue and is aware of any solution

                            1) I had earlier posted that I am able to hear a krrrrrrrr kind of sound which feels like coming from the front chain sproket which engine on or off. It comes only when the bike is moving at a spped of 15-20kmph or more. I had taken my bike to the service center and the technician there rode it and told me it was normal. He said that the interval between the 1st and 2nd servicing is some 4000 km and hence they have tightened the chain more that it actually should be. This is the reason of the sound and this should subside once I have rode some 100-150 kms. Well I have actually crossed 200kms now but the noise still persists and its really irritating

                            2) Both the front foot pegs seem to be vibrating a lot post the 1st service. Currently the right foot peg is vibrating a bit less but the left one does vibrate considerably while riding / accelerating. The technician told that this was also due to the chain tightening and should ultimately subside. Well it has not and I was not convinced either when he said that.

                            3) The coolant level is currently touching the minimum level. Is is ok if I go ahead and top it up or should it be totally replaced?? Also if I can top up the coolant myself, please suggest a couple of coolant brands that I can get for the same.

                            Thanks in advance.

Maybe you were trying to screw them clockwise, the correct motion is actually anti-clockwise.
