Almost every Car SVC or even some good and big tires dealers have the wheel alignment facility.

3.suggest me online stores for engine oil, coolants, chain lube/cleaner
4.how much the crash guard costs ?
I am not sure about the exact cost but I can guarantee you it must be less. Most of the normal spare parts are way cheap. Like the front fender/mudguard costs 700 - 750 bucks. Clutch or brake levers would cost 90 - 100 bucks. All normal parts costs almost same as that of pulsar AFAIK.

Now one advice. Your first two questions are already discussed in this thread before, maybe just a few pages back. So please search this thread before posting questions. I must say this thread is very informative and healthy. Only thing one may need is to search the thread. No offense.

For your third question there are several websites available. Just google it and you'll find many websites. BTW I'll suggest you to go to any good local auto shop/store as these things are readily available and prices would be almost same.

      Crash guard slightly bent,

Anyway today i visited local bajaj show room (hassan). Had a talk with the service manager he happily agreed when i requested help to change the engine oil. and mechanics there are crazy one guy asked "idenu forks ulta aakidharu" , and few people after looking at radiator asked whether its a diesel vehicle.

Sorry to hear about the "Beauty Marks".. That's the sole reason I don't trust the security guards at my office and I make sure I park my bike at such a place where they won't require to move it and lock the handle...

But yet some filthy asses come near the bike, sit on it and click pics and then post those pics on social websites saying "MY NEW BIKE".

      Now about your questions:

Please go back some pages - there is a detailed explanation about engine oil and Mountain has explained it with good details.

You can opt for Castrol or Motul coolants but use a single brand and don't mix two different coolants... You can also check out Engine Ice High Performance Coolant. A bit expensive though. BTW where are you located? If in Mumbai then go to The Motoshop. You can get all the stuff there.

Motul chain cleaner and lubricant are very good. I am personally using them and they work perfectly. Both the bottles (400ml each) would cost you 1000 bucks.

The original KTM crash guards are around Rs 2,000-2,500 I guess.

Yeah. %00 Kms is good for a first oil change. It may prolong the life and performance of you engine.

YOu can try Motul 3100 4T 20W50 too. It's SS and the performance is quite good. It lacks a bit at lower revs, but holds up quite well at higher revs. I feel that FS should be used only after 2500-3000 kms. But that's my opinion. Lot of guys use FS(7100) here and are very satisfied. So choice is yours

          .
change the oil at 1000kms that is the 1st service
          .
go for motul 7100 that is recommneded by bajaj also
and it costs 725rs and u need 2x1lt bottles
but people have tried 300V also on dukes and it is fine but some SVC's dont allow it because it rating is different so they might void the warranty so it totally depends on ur SVC guys , if they have no problem u can go ahead with it
and its cost is some 950 or so per 1 lt bottle
          .
          regarding online stores
          there are many online websites

but u better stick with stock coolant
and chain lube/cleaner , go for MOTUL
directly contact ur region dealer or contact the person directly by taking number from the motul wbsite
          .
and regarding crash guard , i have zero idea so im sorry cant help u on that
Thanks for wishes,I couldnt find reliable stores online if you have any idea post some.by the way im also from vizag now staying in hassan (karnataka)

I'd say you use SS oil till 2nd service i.e. 5000km. Let the engine properly bed in and then change to Motul 7100 20W50 FS.

              • Hows Duke when it comes to long ride ?

                Hi Duke owners,

Need feedback as to how the Duke200 is when to comes to the long rides ?
Most of my long rides are without any pillion, just a back pack.

But I would love smooth vibration less cruise in the 6th gear - I guess Duke has it covered......

duke is not made for highway cruising..even though it manages it well...it is meant for ghat rides..you will simply fell in love with the bike if you take it to the twisties..its simply addictive..
if you are just looking for relaxed highway cruising i think CBR250r is a better option..just take a test ride and decide..cheers..

well 400 kms to nd fro was not a problem for me except the bum pain.regards pillion, seat is horrible.and if by cruising you mean 80 then yes you can cruise.

                      • For those asking about chain alignment, there are tools available. I've seen them on Amazon, for one source. However, I would imagine that a good metal drafting ruler held edge-on against the wheel sprocket, just under the chain and extending towards the drive sprocket, would work well enough to reveal all but the most minute misalignments. You'd have to make your adjustments in small increments and then re-check with the ruler, but it should be a good low-budget alternative to the chain alignment tools, which run probably Rs.3000-4000

I am definitely sure that there is considerable misalignment. Even the Service advisor confirmed this. The mechanic probably was in Aa hurry to leave for home that day so he may just have washed his hands off it by saying 'itna sa to chalta hai sir'. He tried the meatl drafting ruler technique too.
The KTM engineer was to come today. Got a call from the service adv., but can't go as I am in office and riding to the SVC and coming back is not an option
