So, got the new replacement battery. Finished 50 odd kms since then haven't faced any troubles so far with the headlamp on the whole time..

An easy way to confirm the charger is functioning is when you switch off the bike with the headlights on, if the charging coil is working, you can notice a dip in brightness as you turn off the engine kill switch.
About the above test, when I use engine kill switch, the headlamp stays on for 5-6 seconds and then fades away..is this normal..??!!

Yes, it is completely normal. After using engine kill switch , if you push the bike, the light comes on.

It is normal, as Amit said. Also, even when your engine is not running, if you roll the bike, headlight will come alive if the ignition is on.

But as you kill the engine, headlamp dims a bit indicating that until the time engine was running, battery was getting charged and hence the voltage was a bit above 12 volts, making the headlamp a bit brighter than just with the battery alone.

            Great..!! Thanks
And FYI the voltage while the engine is running is between 14.4-14.9 with the headlamp, indicator on.

The svc guys have a jugaad to bypass the reading going to the ecu which they use to start the engine and ride the bike to the svc where they replace the sensor.
May be we could all get hold of one when going on tours.
Can someone post a pic of the side stand sensor just to make sure one doesn't accidentally damage it while cleaning the chain(front sprocket area)..
I can't find exactly where it is

Of late I started to feel that either my handle is a bit stiff, not very stiff, but noticeably stiff, or my rear tire is somehow slipping. The bike fell down on its side once while my gf was negotiating a tough turn, but it was at a slow speed and just the crash guard has some scratches. And this stiffness issue developed long after that. I never had to align or adjust my head bearing or anything so far. Any thoughts?

I had the exact same problem of the handle being very stiff/ turning to one side constantly even on a straight. No crashes involved...the ring below the main big bolt had to be readjusted at the SVC..Nothing major after that all was fine

Thank you! So the steering stem bearing needs adjustment. I've heard a lot guys having this issue, and was happy I was free from this so far, until now, that is!

It's a very weird issue to explain to anyone.. I went to paranoid levels of my rear suspension or my chassis is damaged or something...glad to know its a common issue..😄

I can understand. I thought it was an issue related to the tire pressure, because it was too early to develop a stem bearing issue at eight months and 8k kms...

To all the guys who find Duke 200 seat height taller, change your dog bones with that of 390 Duke, the height would be decreased by 10 mm without compromising on handling, also OEM reliability.
                          I am back!

How would a change of dog bones affect top end and acceleration? Cost should be under 1000 rupees. No, I have not done it, I don't own a bike.

Has anyone removed the radiator cover/guard??
Looks kinda ugly. The European versions don't have it..
