How many kms on the odo?Originally posted by sanjay.rajan500 View Posthai guys..i am still on running in period..and my revlimiter is set at 5000 rpm.
i usually shift at 4000-5000 rpm range.
is it good to shift beyond 5th gear in the 5000 rpm range..
please help me out guys..
You can start opening up the revs upto 7k after about 200 kms. I've known dukers who hit top speeds right off the showroom floor. 2 years later their bikes are fine! So dont worry yourself about 5000 rpm and stuff. Enjoy the bike. And as far as im aware, what you see is not the revlimiter, its just the shift indicator light. Rev limiter is at 10k.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Wait a min...that sprocket looks different from the ones we have on our 2012/2013 Duke 200s. I mean the sprocket hub now has more bolts like the 390's sprocket. That also means that the new 200s and 390s share the same wheels unlike before.Originally posted by sanjay.rajan500 View Posthai guys..got my 200 today..is this the silver chain you guys were talking about??2012 KTM Duke 200 ...Pure Love on two wheels <3

Re: KTM 200 Duke
It is perfectly fine to do it...just remember not to lug the engine at any point of time...keep it in right gears. The limit according to the manual is 7500 RPM, but I also chose to stick to 5500-6000 RPM.Originally posted by sanjay.rajan500 View Posthai guys..i am still on running in period..and my revlimiter is set at 5000 rpm.

Try riding in second gear in traffic at lower speeds. Use lots of engine braking in 3rd gear.
And the shift limiter is just a warning light, you can rev it beyond 5000 RPM.
