Ok, i just got back from the ASC. This is what they quoted me on the prices of the stickers
The normal sticker set for the D200 is Rs.1200 (which is as much as the tank cover itself, (one guy said its 700, but the billing guy said its 1200 for the d200)) -- I am still doubtful, can someone check the prices at your asc ?
The normal sticker set for the D390 is........... Rs.720!! Yeh cheaper than the 200!duh!
The race line sticker kit is a whooping Rs.5490

The replacement tank covers come WITHOUT the stickers, and the ASC gets them placed on the tank with the help of 3rd party stickering guys.

You mean the vibes (like ZZzz ZZzzzz) from the foot pegs ? Then that's 'normal' reduces when the chain gets little loose.. but i think we will have to live with it, seems like a characteristic of the duke. I was having it checked a few minutes ago and apparently the mech confirmed my assumption that it will reduce once the chain loosens a little (it had increased post first service two days ago)
As for the gear shift lever, it will have little play and so does the rear brake lever(which should be around 3-5mm)

I was talking about a small "cling cling" sound when we ride on not so good road. The brake and gear shift levers make the noise. But i cant find any faults wiyh anything there.
      The vibes are ok.

So basically you have a choice between getting two tank cowls or one tank cowl and one sticker set. LOL
I would choose one tank cowl and get the stickers made outside for less than 700/-. Granted they wouldn't be exactly the same but I can keep replacing them at will and maybe even try new patterns and styles.

Can't pinpoint the location without hearing it or riding the bike.

Or have a small crash and get the tank cover replaced under insurance. !!!

Yes, looks are subjective to the individual. I'd prefer a full black (like my current black 200 minus the stickers) with just a simple 'ktm' logo in orange placed at 3-4 locations (for one, on top of the tank, i find that spot to be bare/neglected).
Am still trying to find out where i can get the original (or close to original) ktm logo cut..i tried a couple of shops at panjagutta, but none had/was willing to do it and asked me to go to ramkote. Let me know if you find a place that does it or if you can source it for me.

No, that one is from the plastic chain guard. I looked for it for a full two weeks before I was able to locate it that too by chance.

I would actually prefer not to claim insurance for THAT, as claiming insurance depreciates the value of the bike. I'd rather spend a thousand from my pocket and get a new one. If I can pay 2lakhs on a bike I can certainly spend a few thousands on repairs.

Just find the logo on the internet, store it in your pen drive, and go to any absolutely any sticker shop with a computer and get it cut. Trust me they can do a swell job and you can choose to let them stick it or diy it.

Sorry for the multiple posts guys but I'm on a windows phone using tapatalk and I can't seem to find the option to multi-quote on this shit.

But that looks pretty much tight. How does that make cling noise when ridden in uneven road?

When the upper half of the chain bounces very slightly (even when at standard tension) it basically raises out of its guide tray, hits the upper part at the very end of the chain cover and sits back down in the guide tray. That is when it makes the noise. Happens less when with a pillion because chain tension increases.

I thought it was coming from the tyre hugger but that piece is bloddy solid, so no chance. Even tried to jerk each plastic part to see if the noise came but it happened instead when I was riding pillion on my own bike without a helmet (I know its unsafe but it was a short ride).

Yeah as I said it reduces when riding with a pillion coz of the chain tension. Ride alone on an empty stretch of road and observe when the bike goes into a rough patch.

Keep chain tension at optimal setting and try to ignore the noise. But if you can get the powerpart swingarm mounted chain tensioner I think that'll solve you problem.
