Your fuel pump blew up? There was a thread where I read it was Rs. 3350. Not sure how old is that. Any symptoms?

The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place. It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.

Guys is it normal that a slight plastic burning smell comes, when i park the bike in my garage after a 30 mins short ride the engine feels hot , but what i read in the forums and other places says that heating is normal on new dukes, but there are no error messages shown in the console actually. i have removed all the plastic wraps which came along from the showroom. earlier i thought it might be because of that .

hey roll no i cant help you much cause im just a rookie, but i found this on the forum , it was said in the replies that go for OLX/QUIKR as you get to meet the seller in person.

just look out for signs of rash riding , worned out tires , scratches from fall on the safety guards etc. yes if you can , you should get the bike checked up at KTM sc. that i feel is highly recommended. wish you a happy purchase.

Its perfectly normal..and should reduce after a couple of 1000km. Now after close to 900km on my d200, that funny smell has reduced compared to what it was earlier.

If problem isn't solved after this you can then be sure that its the fuel pump that is at fault. Another way to check is by listening to the fuel pump when it primes the engine. If it makes the usual sound its fine, but if it makes a high pitch erratic sound (kiiiiiyaaaa type) then its faulty. Do this only after warmup though for definitive results.
Yesterday I got my bike fuel tank cleaned. The water entered had screwed the fuel filter, it turned black. Luckily no damages to the injector. Changed the filter and the Angry Bird back to angry mode now.

No need for pic. Its on the eBay site. Just type duke tank pad. Also its the OE powerpart tank pad shown in ktm website and available in ktm showrooms.

The tank cover costs just 1100 bucks FYI. So installing a tank pad just for preventing it from scratches which is almost as expensive as the tank cover just makes it redundant.

On my console, felt like something similar to the bluish screen when we press on a calculator screen.

Do you guys know about it?
I just felt it 30 minutes back. And it is visible when the orange backlight is dim.
Not sure if i just felt it or is actually there.

vysakh just give it some time. if there is a problem with the lcd it will surely come to your notice sooner or later , like some digits might become unvisible etc , because it might even appear blue due to sunlight.

I think its the sun who is the culprit as you said :-P

When it is dark, lcd is fine. And when in morning and evening it is fine.
