Man, I own a D200 which is 3 month old.
I come directly from a CD100.Trust me, There is nothing to worry being a beginner riding D200...
Within 2 weeks I Started to feel the bond with it just like i had between my Cd100.
You will definitely learn to properly use the power and handling of it given some time and you will LOVE it.

BTW, people please suggest me a Cheap Bike mobile holder (pouch kind of).. like 500Rs. or so.

Anyways like you mentioned you were always prepared for these petty issues which could surface more often. Overheating or heating? This bike heats up a lot during run-in and thats normal. Anything less than 2bars down from max is normal in bumper to bumper.
During your first free service stay at the service center and keep bothering those guys untill all the issues are addressed. Else it will only be a typical "Wash and Polish Service"

          Congrats for the ride

          Thanks guys for the reply.

I went to ASC yesterday. They found the leak in the pipe below the radiator. Some clips were not properly placed. I was told that everything has been fixed after they worked on proper placement of those clips. I left the engine running at neutral for 15 - 20 minutes at the service center just to make sure there is no more leakage.

Also I got the chain lubed since I have done 500 kms. The bike seems to be opening up now. Much faster and smoother in 3rd and 4th gear.

Lets hope this will be end of the leakage issues.

no idea how much he paid, though its available on ebay for around 900~1000rs
buying it from the asc will cost ~1500.
IMO, not worth the money for its functionality.

Which asc is this? I saw it at ktm begumpet Hyderabad for 2048/-.
Btw I also got it off eBay but those have a problem with the gum. It refuses to stick on the tank.

i paid 999 vysakh , asc wont give it for 1500 cause when i went for quotation it was mentioned as 2050/-, that may be a old price. as balgi mentioned it refused to stick on the tank . i contacted the seller and returned it, after 2 days he sent me a new piece thus whole process took 7 days.

2048 !? Omg, i only saw the mrp printed on the packing at the banjara ktm.. it was Rs.14xx IIRC -maybe old stock, because i have seen it every time i went to the showroom. It is on display along with the powerparts sticker kit (which was some Rs54xx.)

Is the one sold on ebay an original powerpart or a substitute that looks similar ?
Because i've seen that 'monster' tank pads that sell for around 250rs, they mess up with the tank real bad.
btw, i was also looking at the short levers (in those jing bang colors ) on ebay.. a lot of people have given positive reviews. Am just wondering if i should get a set because i feel the short lever for the clutch might cause wrist pain due to less leverage

I would suggest you to stay away from those levers, because although they look attractive and are quite cheap, the round adjusting gear on the lever sometimes get stuck and you cannot brake or use clutch at all, which was mentioned by some D390 owners on the FB D390 group.

ok, let me do some arm chair research on these. they are not what i call 'cheap', well maybe cheap compared to those obscenely expensive stuff (would have picked them up if they were like 600rs... the 1500 price tag got me thinking)
i have this bad habit of sometimes wanting to test failure first hand and not listen to people

Its original but the gum looses its adhesive properties in transit is all. The ones at begumpet now sport the price tag of 2048/- INR which is the true cost with import charges added.

If you use riding gloves then trust me short levers are a waste of good money. If not then for city commute it does make a diffrence. Your hands will hurt less with these or so I've heard (am a fan of the word stock).

doesnt it have a adhesive masking that should be peeled off in order to apply it ? anyway there are numerous ways for these courier guys to mess up things!
i was thinking of the short levers, only because they have a lesser chance of breaking off in case of a fall.. am going to wait a while and read more about other peoples' experience.and i must say, appearance wise they looked pretty neat too.
For now, am saving up for a decent little jacket.

Irrespective of masking tape the gum looses its adhesive property. But decent non permanent gum is available. Or else simply use a hair dryer to warm up the glue before applying the tank pads. Besides you can go for far better looking (albeit less padded) tank pads for a little more or sometimes even less. Give eBay a good combing over and you'll find what you need.
Again, irrespective of lever length they will break off in a crash and their adjusters get stuck. If you must install short levers then install the non adjustable foldable ones. Those are more reliable and under no circumstance must you buy it on the internet. Go to any bike accessories shop too get them. Trust me buying these off the internet is like buying local Chinese bikes.
