    It's normal . Just be in the proper gears and not lug the engine .

          Lol.. Nice way to put it.. But yeah.. Even my bike gets the same sound.. But I like to think it's the dragon's fury waiting to come out and it's doesn't like taming

              Hey Guys! three weeks back I got my hands on a brand new shining Duke 200
              Done with first service in a weeks time and a 1000 km ride (to and fro) to my hometown in konkan.
              Absolute bliss to ride this machine in ghats!

              Now some issues I am facing:
              1. Since day one I am facing an issue with headlight, if the headlinght switch is in ON position and engine is started, it doesn't just light up!!
              During 1st Service I had complained about this and SVC just changed headlight switch on handlebar, problem was solved for some days but it's back now.

              2. Everything was alright, till last night. There's some tik-tik sound coming while riding. there's no such sound if bike's idling at standstill.

              Anyone has faced such issues? Pls help.
              anything that can go wrong will surely go wrong at the wrong time and the wrong place

                The headlight issue is because of the relay under the tank through which the headlight is connected..Ask them to check the relay
                P.S.In 2014 duke there is a seperate relay for the headlight

                  I owned a duke 200 almost a 1 year. From starting only I heard a sound tarrrr from head whn bikes heats.dis sound is normal when bike is cold. Svc guys said its due to shim expands when heat and gives sound. Every duker facing same problem????

                        both disc oil change
                        coolant topup
                        Oil filter change

                          No need to change disc oil my free service cost me around 1200 to 1500..
                          Yesterday chngd dukes front tyre to pirelli sporrs demon..cost 2700...chain set changed cost 1500
                          Rest is fine odo reading 14150...

                            How much is motul 300v ? disc oil? and coolant topup?
                            Is it necessary to replace it fully or it's just a topup? (The coolant level is not even near to the min mark when I left to the SVC)
                            The chain set starts rusting just before 1k km for me..Is it the same with everybody?
                            And finally, How's Pirelli doing for you?

                              Forget the price of motul..always maintain coolent 8n between min and max level..replaced my chain set cause I do highway driving lot..if in local chain can go still 1500 km more..clean n lube chain after evey 500 km...even now I am travelling to mandi feedback from front is good it will improve more...

                                Oops :P Wrongly interpreted ! My coolant level was just a little below thew max mark :P I meant they just have to add some 5 ml coolant for reaching the max mark.Are they going to charge for the entire coolant?
                                And whoa! Nearly Half of my commute are on highways ,would that affect my chain life?why?
