It's a bit bone jarring surely aided by the decision of the mech to change the rear shock setting to 7 The bike just keeps on jumping up and down. Also the forks appear too stiff. I can feel the front bouncing a bit on braking. I started to notice this after the service . I had instructed the mech to replace the oil in both the forks while he patched the left fork seal, so that the damping is kept balanced. May be this has a bearing on the stiffness. The fork action is not smooth too. I mean it can be stiff or spongy but it's not gradual. This is noticed the most, as I said under braking. I am not sure which grade oil they put in the forks.
All of this has been contributing to not so confident cornering. I am not able to feel the traction levels properly and having difficulties leaning on the same corners I used to do before with ease(no Rossi stuff, regular minimal leaning ones ). This may also be due to the slight bend I have on the front rim.
I'd definitely get the rear shock back to 5 or 6.

But how do I fix the forks?

Also should I go for a rim replacement or do I go try getting it fixed? Since the bend is not pronounced I doubt the insurance agent would clear the claim.

Oh and btw, warranty gone !!
Too stiff a suspension too can lead to nervous behaviour under loads like cornering/leaning. Get the fork oil replaced with correct measurements and grade. That should solve the issue in my opinion. The rear is adjsutable, so that can be cured.

Is the bike loosing out on air pressure in the tyres? In that case, rim should be changed. You cannot take chances with that. However, if it is manageable then I believe the service center mechs too can help you on this. A teeny tiny bend should pose any problems. How about the stability of handle and the bike overall with the bend?

I have not experienced drastic air pressure drops. The usual. THe handle feels stable. the bike follows a straight line when you release the grips, so cone set looks to be OK.
But on leaning, I think the forks transfer too much of the irregularities to the handle. Also there is this feeling of the front tyre slipping sometimes, which forces me not to pursue the lean aggressively
You saying I change the oil again? It was changed recently after the seal went bust. I specifically told the mech to replace oil in both the forks to keep things balanced.
Are there any tuners.shops around in Mumbai who would help?

Hi guys, from past few days whenever i go over potholes or undulations i am hearing sound like khat-khat from the back of the bike.
I suspect that either the chain or the tail is making the but i can't makeout from where exactly the noise is coming. Checked the chain and tail when the bike was standstill everything looks ok.
If anyone had this issue please help because this noise is iritating me a lot.

Check the chain slack. Maybe it is a bit loose..

Checked slack is not to much.

May be the chain slider is worn out.
Even when the slack is optimum if slider is worn it slaps against it and makes the noise (same was in my case).

When was the last time/no. of kms back it was changed?

Mine was at 5k kms on odo.

I got the slider changed at 6400 kms right now i am close to 10k mark. Maybe its the slider thats worn out.
                Thanks for suggestion

I'm getting a turbine like whirring noise from my bike . It increase with speed and is tough to notice in front of the engine noise . Any idea what it might be?
Also the front brakes make a loud noise on braking somewhat like what drum brakes make . Everytime I visit the svc they clean the brake pads and the sound goes off for a few kms . Then again it comes back
Does installing a performance air filter void the warranty? Anyone using pipercross?

I get this duckh-duckh sound while changing gears, that too before 1k km.Is this normal?
And sometimes the speedo shows confusing values too..
As ^this guy said I get that squeaking sound while breaking hard.SVC guys said that it would disappear after cleaning the disc pads.Is it a permanent solution? What might be the problem?

                        Thanks for your reply bro.
But the sound doesn't seem normal. Its more like the gearbox is getting damaged every time I switch gears (especially 3rd gear). Have you come across the same prob? Or do you have smooth gear shifts?

Is it like bhuuung bhuung bhung? somewhat like what a yezdi or a bullet makes when the throttle is released? And does it occur when the rpm is low for that gear? like the speed drops and you don't change the gear?

Same thing is happening to me too also the rear brakes have almost completely lost the bite. They either lockup the rear wheel or have no effect at all on pressing..!!!
It's run 11K till now. Is it time to replace the brake pads..??!!

Yeah exactly same for me . I think we should ride each other's bike someday and see . Do tell me when you would be going to the svc for this .
