    Speaking of battery -
If you are changing the battery, do get your alternator checked. I had mine replaced under warranty recently. The console was showing low battery warning. The ASC guys checked and told me the charging circuit is not in good condition.

Though that part was changed under warranty, the ASC guys said they did not have battery and asked to contact an employee of theirs, he was asking for 3200 Rs for new battery. Even the service manager and the lady at reception told me battery costs 3200.

Finally I was able to get the battery from a service center in Kerala (which is my native) for 1936(Mrp) + 155 for the electrolyte (battery comes dry charged, ie no electrolyte- need to fill electrolyte and charge for min 6 hours before first use.). So total cost 2091 instead of 3200.
In case some one does not know the right price of battery then they could be cheated easily.

So just putting it out there - as of dec 2013 the price of 12v 8ah exide VRLA battery for duke 200 is 1936(battery) + 155(electrolyte) = 2091

have done two mods to my bike
1- changed the tail light. smoke tail lights with integrated indicators looks and works perfect.
2- added a windscreen which really helps in touring which I do a lot. deflects the wind sideways and also helps you go top speed without crouching.
and also changed my tyres to Michelin pilot street rear 140/70/17 front the same profile as stock..

Booked 4th service for D200 tomorrow morning at Sreeram Bajaj, Ghatkopar, Mumbai. This is a paid service, any idea about the charges?

My D200 1st paid service done 4 days back, 6600 kms on odo
Total cost: 2618/- labour alone was 669+tax.
Parts changed were spark plug, fuel and oil filters. Engine flush as I'm switching to FS now only. 3M Engine oil plus (additive, I never asked for it though!)... wit FS now in, the bike feels a bit more gruntier

Hi guys just a quick question, What alternative sprocket would fit the duke 200? I'm here in Philippines and sprocket are expensive so was thinking of ordering from Ebay just wanted to know what other sprocket has the same holes as the d200 I guess some other KTM would have the same sprocket like the exc, smc or super duke, I just dont have any idea.

It's always betta to change the rear sprocket. Btw I guess you want more acceleration, so you have to go up a few teeth

                          Hi,

I am going to be a proud owner of Duke 200. I would be getting the bike in 3days. I am dwelling in Coimbatore. I would like to know where I can get a good fuel for my bike in Coimbatore. The showroom people said that they recommend only premium brand of petrol. Its very hard to get that here. Can I fill normal petrol ? If so what all issues I can expect?

Any Duke owners from Coimbatore could help me in getting the best fuel options in Coimbatore.

                          thanks

Yes exactly that why I want to know if there is an alternative sprocket for the D200 whether it's from the pulsar(because we have that here in Philippines) FZ16 ot any other KTM alternative sprocket

Duke 200 with its stock sprockets itself is an acceleration oriented bike reaching about 125 kmh at 10000 rpm where P200NS with the same gear box with 15/39 sprockets reaches about 145 kmh at the same rpm.
The following bikes are with larger rear sprocket than D200. Try to find out a suitable 50T or at least 48T sprocket which enables you ride always on single wheel i.e. on the rear wheel.
                              Apache 160 - 44T, Apache 180 - 46T, Duke 390 - 45T, Duke 200 MXC – 48T, Hero Impulse - 50T, Hyosung GT650R – 44T, Ninja 650 – 46T, Ninja XZ-250 – 48T, Suzuki GSF 1200S – 45T, Suzuki Inazuma GW250 – 45T, Yamaha R15V2 – 47T, Yamaha YZF R1 – 47T, and Yamaha YZF R6 – 45T.

Would this bikes sprocket fit our Duke 200? That's the problem

Oh and another question guys here in the philippines OEM oil filter cost's me around 500PHP that would be roughly around 600-700INR , Just wanted to know over there how much is it locally? I mean how much is an OEM oil filter in india? I have relative's in punjab so I can tell them to get me if the price difference is significant
