Re: KTM 200 Duke
hi!! I am also planning to overgear my duke but confused between the 36T sprocket of P220, 38T of P200, 39T of P180UG4 or 40T of karizma. Firstly, I dont know if i got the sizes correct and whether they are direct fit to the duke...secondly, if they are all feasible options then which one to go for? I am also from mumbai...so pls can u provide your contact so that I can discuss about which mod will be the most feasible...Originally posted by burninrubbr View PostSo here's my review after doing 100 odd kms. after doing the sprocket mod, changed it to Pulsar 220s
1- The off-the-line acceleration has gone for a toss,
2- Riding in city on 4th/5th gear is really difficult,
3- Does 133kmph in 5th gear, at the rev-limit,
4- FE has increased, gives me 35-36kmpl in city/traffic with WOT riding,
5- Does ~100kmph on ~6.5k rpm
Overall, happy with the mod, money well spent
P.S. Didn't had to cut the chain links nor do any kind of modifications, P220/Karizmas/P200s rear sprocket is a direct fit

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Hey all,
Quick query. I'm planning to change the engine oil before schedule and was told that the oil filter needs to be changed during oil change as well. Is the oil filter freely available in the market or do I need to go to the SVC to get it??
Thanks!

Re: KTM 200 Duke
After the oil has been changed, it is compulsory to change the oil filter. Stick with the service center. And Oil filters are not freely available in the market (approx 60/-). It will be free in the case, if you own a shop by yourselfOriginally posted by katoom View PostHey all,

For sure yes!! It will help the new engine oil run clean.Originally posted by katoom View PostHey all,

Also, the SVC's are very reluctant to give spare parts if you want to take them with you. If you tell them you want to change it right away, they will do it ASAP.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Well, pester them till you get it. Going in for cheap replacement spares will always fall heavy on the pocket in the future. Nothing like OEM spares. !! I think many here will vouch for that.Originally posted by devils_friend View PostFor sure yes!! It will help the new engine oil run clean.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Thanks for the replies guys!
I was asking this cos the SVC is really far from my place and as far as I could make out from the 1st service, those guys are not really inclined to allow me to use any oil other than Bajaj 10000. Will try and see if I can get the oil filter alone and replace the oil myself.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Agree bro!! But, even after pestering, they give absolute vague reasons and not give it. Since its DIY thing by us, they miss out on labour charges and dont give it.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostWell, pester them till you get it. Re: KTM 200 Duke
hello everyone,
I plan on getting a paddock stand for my Duke. What I need to know is whether I'll have to get spools with it too or the stand will latch onto the swing arm directly?
the paddock stand is kraftewerks
many thanks

Low oil pressure
Low oil pressure came up on the console today while riding. Im away from my home Dehradun(the nearest place where a service station is for KTM). Its 350kms away from where iam now. Although ive been riding that way for 40-50kms. Just reached here at my native village today. Wondering what might be the problem!! BTW oil level is fine well visible from the oil window.
What im thinking is if it might be a mechanical issue. If the oil filter is clogged or oil is diluted it can be replaced locally, quite a doable job. But big malfunction is scary....Its scary i dont want to ship it.Code:https://www.instagram.com/ankit_himalayas/
