And regarding loosening of clutch

U have two bolts near the clutch wore which is attached to the engine side ( right ) loosen one of the bolt and u can adjust with the other bolt to ur desired play

If I'm wrong please so correct me

Did you notice this after Bike wash? Check whether any rust is formed, bcoz you stay in coastal area. Change the Break Pads as the final option.

Seems like we need to contact EBC Brakes for better Brake pads. :P That squeaking occurs when you use the brakes very gradually, sudden use of it doesnt make that sound.

I don't think you can do that yourself. The diagnostic tool which is connected to ecu is used to do that. So you will have to go to the service center again

thanks for replying. No you don't need to go to service center for resetting service message. I found a way how to do it " just press set button for 15 secs and service message will go.

Hello,

I'm trying my best to explain the steps here... vikundefined, My "next service distance" was reset at the service center during first service (I saw it myself).
Post that when i was checking how to set different values on the console like RPM1, RPM2, time and stuff I've changed the next service distance as well, a couple of months back.

Since instructions for setting values like ones I mentioned above has been given in the Manual, I didn't find anything for "next service distance" (still I did it somehow) also I can't exactly recollect how i managed to do that.

I can randomly recall the steps (trail and error process though!), steps as follows:

(Note: As i had already mentioned it's a trail and error process, It's a combination of step 1.1, 2, 3,.. and the rest OR step 1.2, 2, 3,.. and the rest or step 1.3, 2, 3,. with the rest of steps to be tried)

1.1 Make sure ODO appears on the display.
1.2 Make sure TRIP 1 appears on the display.
1.3 Make sure TRIP 2 appears on the display.
2.0 Press and hold MODE and SET button together for 5-10 secs.
3.0 The distance for next service appears.
4.0 Set the distance using MODE and SET buttons.
5.1 Once done DO NOT press either of the button.
5.2 Once done press and hold MODE and SET button together for 10-15 secs.

(Similarly steps 5.1 OR 5.2 needs to tried as a combination with rest)

Please feel free to revert with Q's if you have any doubts, Will try my best to help..!

Thanks!

hello everyone!
Last night me and my friend were hanging out in the city. My friend owns a P220. He just tried to insert his 220's key into my duke's fuel lid opener and boom! it opened!! I was shocked! Then we checked if we could turn on the ignition of my duke with his key but that did not work. I tried to use duke's key on his fuel lid and ignition but failed both times!!

I had read somewhere an year ago that the pattern of the keys of P220s repeat every 10000 motorcycles or so but it's not so with the KTM. Now the problem is P220 key can open the fuel lid of the duke (my case atleast!).

Does anybody have any idea about the reason?
Scary stuff! Hope nobody elese finds out Not when we know the cost of petrol!

Hey everyone,I've been following Xbhp since quite a few months and I've read every page of this informative tthread
I'm planning to buy a new bike,I'll be booking it today or tomorrow
ive narrowed my choice to the duke 200 and the r15 , I love the duke but I am quite concerned because a lot of people seem to be facing a lot of problem with the chain sprocket and noises from different parts of the bike and the hard seat
My requirements are as follows
1) comfortable city ride
2) maintanance free( excluding the regular oil changes and stuff)
3) after purchase survice (location Hyderabad )
& being owner friendly
So would the duke be the bike for me !?
thanks in advance
The equation is simple mate,If you can't REDLINE it you don't deserve it.
