Re: KTM 200 Duke
Its the same with me, I thought its because of regular fuel so now trying Speed 91. If I do feel there is a difference I will use it else will go back to regular. On another note, I got an average kmpl while returning from work of 48 kmpl. I guess that is pretty good.Originally posted by chinmayakar View PostRipping the streets of Bombay on my P250 M

Re: KTM 200 Duke
They use some bardahl injector cleaner or some thingOriginally posted by samschenker View PostHow was the injector cleaned, Some additive to the fuel?
And sprayed it and then cleaned it
The whole job was done in 30-40 mins
Opening the outer tank, fuel tank , Fuel lines and all
And re fixing them back
The mechanic did a good job
In such a short time
Cheers to KTM servicing !!

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Get ready to have roasted legsOriginally posted by chinmayakar View PostHi Guys. I got my Duke last Thursday. I feel hot air on my legs after riding for sometime in traffic. The temperature graph on the console, remians shy of hot mark by just 2 points. Is that normal for a new bike. Also, is the ProBiking Service Centre open on Sundays. Where is the Centre in Seawood? Is it on Palm Beach ROad?
. Well the bike heats up a lot during the run in period and the heat given off is directly felt on the legs courtesy-radiator fan. The scene changes slightly after first servicing. The bike doesn't heat up quickly but when it does, you have to face the wrath the fan again.

Hi chinmayakar, The grade of oil recommended is 15w50 Semi Synthetic oil, the quantity is 1.2 L.Originally posted by chinmayakar View PostHey Guys, can someone please tell me the grade of oil and quantity of oil that is needed for Duke 200. I havent got my manual yet and forgot to ask the showroom guy about this.
Thanks in advance and sorry for repeating the question if it has been answered back.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Thanks Calculus. The manual says for KTM EU. Is the grade same for India as well. And if 15w50, can I use Motul 5100 for running in. I am not sure about the oil that comes pre-filled in KTM.
Any idea on that?
I have completed 200 KMs hence, thinking about changing the oil before going for 1st service at 1000KM

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Hi chinmayakar, Yeah actually that manual would apply for the KTMs worldwide. Bajaj, in India give their own recommendation in the manual. They recommend Bajaj DTS-i 10,000 Engine oil - grade: 20w50, which is semi-synthetic and all the bikes are loaded with the same. You can without doubt go for Motul 5100 for running in which in my opinion is very good. I am using Motul 5100 SS oil too.Originally posted by chinmayakar View PostThanks Calculus. Re: KTM 200 Duke
Hi everyone
I just noticed that my bike's engine is giving off a whirring sound. Which is only heard at low speeds . is it something to worry about?
The bike has clocked 2.5k kms and is running on Bajaj oil. Is it time I change the oil. Also, which Motul oil should I go for?
