Folks!, My question here is, what are the impacts/effects on downsizing the profile from stock 150/60 to 140/70?

Though I understand the increase in the diameter (apparently introduces speedo error AFAIK) should increase top end and a wee little mileage.

Are there going to be any Ill effects on transmissions or internals components, handling, stability, braking etc due to downsizing..?

        Any help here is appreciated!
Hey do u think the pilot street radial will be better than the stock duke tires in terms of puncture resistant and grip bcoz i have not faced any puncture issues as yet and thats the only thing i like about the stock tires although in all other aspects it sucks, like when it comes to grip on concrete roads and on hard braking almost every time its skids.

Recently I've noticed that the bike starts jerking when i press the starter, with the bike in gear and without the clutch lever being depressed!
Any idea what could be the issue?

Are you saying you are trying to run the starter with the bike in gear and clutch lever not pulled? Wrong! Stop doing it!

The starter should not be able to run in this condition though. Maybe your clutch lever switch is faulty.

I know i am not supposed to do that. But the motor shouldn't even start in such a situation, hence the problem!!!

Rk, fyi mich pilot street is available in 130 and 140/70 17 only and not 150 (you can also confirm it in their website!). Have no idea about pilot sport.
You may check out XTorque store bangalore (on fb as well ), I remember pilot street 130 and 140 being available there couple of months ago...
