Re: KTM 200 Duke
Thank you guys for your inputs..sorry for being too vague with my question, but i guess i've got my answer. Looking at things so far, I am going to go ahead and get the duke itself. What i will do now is go through this thread completely (i've been doing that the last couple of days) and i'm sure i'll get a lot more answers to my questions.
Just a quick question though..uh..is there some way that i can get a hand on the owner's manual of the d200 somewhere on xbhp perhaps?
Can't wait to get my hands on one of them. And i'd really like to know a lot more about the bike before i actually own one. I know it might be a little strange with it being called an owner's manual for good reason.
I sold my pulsar 200 a few months back and i'm left with just my old honda activa scooter to go around, so maybe you could say that i'm in a bit of a hurry to book the duke, so i'm really looking forward to riding one of my own and sharing my experiences with you guys.
Cheers
Melvin
P.S: I'll be asking questions as and when doubts arise. Appreciate all your feedback.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
you can get the owners manual downloaded directly from ktm's website - ktm now even has an app on android which has the owners manual in it.Originally posted by thommel View PostJust a quick question though..uh..is there some way that i can get a hand on the owner's manual of the d200 somewhere on xbhp perhaps?

plus the workshop manual is also available online (i remember posting a link to it earlier on this thread) -- or simply hit google and you should be able to obtain it.

Re: KTM 200 Duke: Petrol
Hey,
Is it a necessity that the petrol used by the bike needs to be premium petrol or is regular petrol fine?
If premium petrol is a must then I'm going to have some trouble as there are no pumps in my vicinity that provides premium grade petrol.
Is that something I should be concerned about?

Re: KTM 200 Duke: Petrol
No need of premium grade, but make sure the pumps you will be filling from, don't provide dirty fuel, and avoid filling fuel when they are emptying the tanks in their storage area, which is usually during the evening.Originally posted by thommel View PostHey,

Re: KTM 200 Duke
I did a 800kms ride recently and it performed well without any issues. I took the chain spray with me to lubricate it every 400kms or so. Only issue is butt soreness. I bought a cycling shorts with gel pads, but even with that also you need to take sufficient breaks to give your butt some rest. it performs wonderfully in hills.
