So, got the cone set replaced yesterday. Don't know the price since it got replaced under warranty (under 10,000kms).
The weirdness in the handling is gone considerably since some more adjustment will be done after 2-3 days of running..

I had tried alot to get my cone set replaced under warranty but the svc guys just wouldnt agree. Few pages back you mentioned about the new Dukes getting silver chains, I happened to check one today at the svc (this sad Duke had a seized engine, i think ) and it had a shiny silver chain and black sprocket. Could not click a picture because my phone battery was completely dead.

My mileage was just 10100 so convinced them to consider it under 10,000..
At least we know that such a silver chain exists..
BTW when did u get your cone set replaced( at what mileage)..??

At 8k kms i replaced the cone set for Rs.303.

You definitely should have got it replaced under warranty...or sent a mail to KTM regarding this..

Sending a mail and arguing online with them is pointless for an item worth 300, also it takes time too. I wanted to ride my bike asap and get rid of the handling issues.

Hi,
Since past few weeks, i am getting a buzzing sound from the speedo console. upon removing and checking the console, there seems to be a screw or something that has come off inside which is causing this noise. the noise when we shake the console is like a screw in a plastic bottle. i am guessing a screw has come off.
Question: Has anyone opened the console. I have read that it is difficult to put it back due to some gasket which if not fitted properly can cause water to enter.
If anyone has opened, can they share the process of opening it. Thanks.

I am rohit from chandigarh owns Duke 200 & Pulsar 150..Previously used Yamaha rx100 & 4 speed 135 & 1986 Bullet Dlx Model..Bought this baby duke at the end of september, In 7 months i toured a lot due to my job... evry month went to manali & rampur. ODO reading is 12980...i am not a sane driver...Rode it to the fullest...Issues till date Once my Meter consol was replaced when ODO was 800 Km..after that no issues till date...on the very first day i cushioned duke seats with 3 inch foam. tyre and chain set can still do 1500KM more....i take care of every thing like cleaning n lubing chain using motule or sometime diesel for cleaning & motule also for lubing...changed parking bulb to LED & main to osram. Few days back there was buzzing sound coming from tank cap svc guy told me it need to be replaced but due to lack of time didnt able to visit and that noice is also gone now.. no oil leak no cone set or any other issues even the road road kiratpur to bilaspur is non existing due to over loaded cement trucks..even bumped on the potholes above 80Kmph sometimes but no cracks or any other issues in alloys. about touring it depends on person to person from chandigarh to kiratpur i drive in between 100 n 120 @120 one can feel the wind but at 100 no issues.even i made a jugad for a tank bag which hold my office documents & clothe for 2 to 3 days easily. best average i got was 41 KMPL from sunder nagar to manali tankfull to tankfull worst was 21.. and i constantly get 28 to 32 in city with mix driving.Regarding tyres MRF grip on wet is not good but on dry it gives very good confidence.. under hard braking rear tyre skids but know i learnt to apply brake properly on duke little pressure on rear n maximum at front even sometime i did rolling wheelie unintentionally.

sorry for the long post but i was reading that duke is no way a tourer or it has many issues...but till date i toured a lot redline her every minute..love the 3rd gear when she charge like a bull..gearing is short but gives the urgency to downshift like rx 100..this month also planing to go to rohtang if road allows will update you guys..

Hey guys suddenly 2 new issues have cropped up in the last 4-5 days.One is that whenever i go above 120 my bike starts wobbling n this used to never happen before for sure as i daily ride my bike between 120-130 bcoz of real good roads that i have where i stay,the second issue is that my bike has turned suddenly way to sensitive to bumps as i get a feel of anything n everything on the road and my ride has become way to bumpy and stiff. Can all this happen if my rims are bent?? although i cannot see any damage on my rims......or is it something else that is causing all these problems suddenly???

You might want to get the cone set adjusted or replaced if they are rusted.. Even I had the same problem not on top speeds though..

Even my bike wobbles at 60-80 kmph while turning... Is there any issues with cones...??

Same here i also feel like my bike goes to left side when stoping, cone-set may be at fault.
