  • guys the race-line sticker set may cost rs 8000
but the stickers that come on tank sides and all
cost rs 800 only as stated by Jd
so there's no confusion between race line stickers and Stock OEM stickers price

      • ^^ Nothing much to say TBH , It could be a faulty fuel indicator. Will be replaced under warranty. The only other thing that you can do in the meantime is keep a track of your running, and fuel up every 150 kms or so.

If you need any help, the technicians were pretty helpful out here in Gurgaon.

But if the part is not available, expect a wait of 3-5 days minimum, but make sure they take it as a high priority job.

Sodhi saab - Once it had happened with me as well. I stopped for a fuel stop on one of our rides - filled in some fuel - switched the ignition key on - Instead of fuel bars moving up - I got Low fuel warning. I switched it off waited for sometime, switched it back on - Same --> Low fuel warning. I started to doubt the fuel station - but I had very clearly noticed fuel flowing out of the nozzle. Waited for sometime - shook the bike - switched it back on - and it worked fine.

          • Hi All,

I got through the 1st Servicing for my Duke couple of days ago and now I feel some issues are cropping up post the servicing. Was wondering if anyone in here faced or is facing anything similar to mine:

            1) I am hearing a rattling noise (something like krrrrr) constantly coming from somewhere near the left rider foot peg, seems to be coming from the chain. It stops if the bike speed comes below 15-20kmph, but i can hear it constantly. I initially thought it was the engine so I accelerated and switched off the engine and shifted to neutral gear. Can still hear the same.

            2) I can feel the foot pegs vibrating while riding which I never felt before.

            3) The engine is not feeling smooth enough as it used to feel before the 1st service. Feels kind of stiff and seems that the pickup has come down.

Any advise/help would be really appreciated

            • ^^ Check oil level and ensure it is adequate. Did you get the service done in your presence? Were all bolts/nuts tightened?

What is the free play of the chain when parked? Company spec says should not be more than 5-7mm.

Same happened to me just a couple of days back. I had 4/5 bars of fuel in the bike. When I returned home after riding some 10odd kms, I noticed the yellow alarm light was on, no bars and it said "low fuel". I was shocked, but didn't find any leakage. Couldn't do anything else as it was late at night. Next morning it was all fine, back to same 4/5 bars.

Also, my exhaust has started getting the "chrome peeling off/black spots" thing in a big way. I guess it is normal, or is it not?

But overall, the bike feels awesome. Gearbox/brakes are bedding in really well.

Bro nothing to worry about and its completely normal.
BTW I own a R15 v2. The reason behind this is that when we run on reserve, we may bend towards right which gives a false reading to the sensor of more fuel. And not to reset the fuel indicator immediately, they take some five to ten kilometres to check whether the fuel has been actually added or that was a false reading.
To confirm this after the reserve fuel indicator kicks in, just halt your bike in side stand for about 10 mins, it will reset automatically. Hope you got the point.
After filling the fuel just ride her about five to ten kilometres and the indicator will reset itself...

                      Hi,

                          Regarding the Fuel Indicator,
I faced this consistently. For more that 3-4 tankfulls.
It reached an extent where the fuel indicator on the console ran blank for days and the red malfunction light on the console started blinking. Called the neighbourhood PBK, they said that they would have to run the diagnostic tool.

Then I tried something, I changed my petrol pump. Started filling petrol from a different outlet and the issue never came up. Now, I don't face any lag between a tankfull and it reflecting on the console. Also, the malfunction light has stayed quiet ever since.

Seems like the Duke is a bit sensitive to the quality of petrol. I'd suggest trying a couple of outlets and sticking to the one which the bike doesn't fuss over

Regarding the exhaust header (pipe) black spots,
It is not pretty, but seems like it is normal. The pipe is made of stainless steel, so you need not worry about it rusting.
