Re: KTM 200 Duke
you are very lucky. but no doubt the revz is one of the best tires around from an Indian manufacturer, worth every penny.Originally posted by kundalus View PostThat's pretty abysmal performance. I have been riding revz for more than 30k in old and new set of tyres. Have seen hardly 3-4 punctures till date. And none during road trips.

Contigos as you said comes only in 140/70Originally posted by s1d View PostDoes the contigo come in 150/60 size ? IIRC they only come in 140/70 (i.e. cbr/ninja size). And you can safely use a 140/70 on the duke, no issues.
some folks who use contigo on the cbr (it is also the stock tire on the cbr250s) say that it's not very grippy. i haven't ridden on this tire extensively, but can say that it is a hard compound and might not be particularly very good in the wet. the contigo and michelins take longer time to warm up before they start providing optimum grip.
On the other hand the mrf revz c or c1(new model) that comes stock on the duke is an excellent tire, soft, grippy and costs less (Rs.3800 approx). The only drawback of the mrf is that it is prone to punctures and small surface cuts/knicks due to it's soft compound/construction. I have personally shifted to the michelin and it is a slightly harder compound and provides a slightly better ride quality and almost puncture proof
(just one puncture recently after 14k km) whereas the mrf already had 4 punctures in 14k km and the last puncture was so huge that i had to discard the tire. The michelin though costs around Rs.5500, and would be a good option for tourers(never had single issue with the tire/punctures on the numerous long rides, whereas the mrf caused me some pain due to a couple of punctures)
My next tire change will be back to the mrf revz c1.
Today a dealer showed me metro continental bazooka. I'm just tired of revz leaking air about 8 pounds a week. Checked the neck and Caleb everything seems fine. Currently don't have the budget to get michelins. So thinking of bazooka as a viable option. Should I go head and take a risk.

Can't say anything factors of luck plays a important role and revs are really soft compound.Originally posted by kundalus View PostThat's pretty abysmal performance. Re: KTM 200 Duke
I haven't I have just fitted led bulbs to replace stock halogen. If I you really need fog lamps I suggest you get it fitted from a reputed mechanic cause duke is really a pain in the ass when it comes to wiring. One wrong wiring and you could end up affecting other components.Originally posted by Shourya014 View PostHas anyone tried to fit any fog lights/ projector lamps to be precise?

You are right don't go for cheap knock offs. Go for cree leds get them from AliExpress. Retro fitting rc projectors would be one hell of challengeOriginally posted by Shourya014 View PostI hav the mechanic who is reputed in pune and he is manager at ktm svc. Re: KTM 200 Duke
Give them a try , the bazookas. Otherwise a safe bet would be the conti go or the ceat (zoom xl) in the 140 section.. cheaper and last longer and better puncture resistant.. though grip will not be as good as the mrf revz.Originally posted by plexus View PostContigos as you said comes only in 140/70

How much does the metro bazooka cost?

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Well, then it costs almost as much as the mrf. So better get the mrf's itself.Originally posted by plexus View PostFor bazooka the dealer said 3,500/-
If you tour a lot or worried about punctures (and want to sacrifice some grip) and on a budget you can get the ceat zoom xl (140/70) which costs around Rs.3100

Which was your previous bike?Originally posted by kris989 View PostI got a new Duke 200 yesterday. Very satisfied except one issue. The bike stalls while shifting from high to low gears. Especially in traffic. It has been only 50kms and it's a bit annoying. Any suggestions??
