What was the culprit behind the vibrations??Originally posted by Nick Isaacs View PostOkay. I got the vibration issue fixed. Re: Honda CBR 150 R
At first I thought it was the windshield, but joelgreen said it was possibly the console and he was right. The console's glass was vibrating creating a very annoying noise which made the ride feel rough instead of the usual cbr smoothness. It's perfect now.Originally posted by bala13 View PostWhat was the culprit behind the vibrations??
Is it just me or does the 150R sound better than the 250R? It's got more bass

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
So you got the glass of the console tightened? If yes, do you think that simply the glass (it's plastic/polycarbonate, technically :P) can be changed by itself too? Or does one have to change the entire console, if the glass gets scratched/cracked?Originally posted by Nick Isaacs View PostAt first I thought it was the windshield, but joelgreen said it was possibly the console and he was right. Coming to the sound, yes, I agree with you, the 150R does sound better. Especially when I redline her, once in a while, the sound makes me feel I'm aboard a supersport!
However, the sound does get a bit irritating at times, especially in B2B traffic where I have to rev her quite a bit just to get moving, it feels like she growls too loud to move just a little.
This is where I like the 250R, it's quieter at low RPMs and starts roaring when you pin the throttle! I've ridden a friend's 250R and absolutely loved the way it gives you the roars right when you want them.

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
I dont know what he did to fix it (if he tightened or just stuffed something in there ) but I don't have the noise anymore. Sorry, but he took the bike to another place and returned it when he was done with it. In fact he was so busy, he heard only half of my "thank you", before running off. I didn't get the chance to ask what the problem was.Originally posted by joelgreen View PostSo you got the glass of the console tightened? As for the sound, the 250s I've heard have this asthmatic sound. But yes, I'm pretty sure it would growl at higher RPMs. I've never ridden a 250. Will have to try it out soon.

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Hi... I am Malav Soni from Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
I had bought cbr150r(red) on Jan 18, 2014. Now I want to sell this bike. It still has remaining 2 services and 2 washings through AMC. It gives 45kmpl in city(Gandhinagar).
At what price I should sell this bike?

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
Hello guys, I am new to the thread.
I've been wanting to change my engine oil to some other brand other than Honda.
Any good options you know of?
Just so you know, my daily commute is of ~50kms
And also how do I change the engine oil by myself? I am sorry but I am not a DIY guy, yet!

Why you don't want to use honda throttle engine oil?? Any bad experience with it?Originally posted by aztrix03 View PostHello guys, I am new to the thread.

Re: Honda CBR 150 R
If you go by the user manual it says 10w 30 and then 10w 40 for the conditions where temp are high.
Honda throttle is not bad, it can easily last for around 3 to 3.5K kms. If you wish to extend the drain interval then shell advance ultra 10w 40 is the bestest oil you can get for CBRs and which will beat motul oils hands down.
Dig a bit deeper into both 150 and 250 ownership thread and you will see what shell.advance ultra is capable of.
Cheers,
Sanjay

By any chance are you referring to the one that comes in black bottle?(sorry I dont know the name)Originally posted by bala13 View PostWhy you don't want to use honda throttle engine oil?? Any bad experience with it?

The guys at the ASC where I go to fill my bike with the one that they use in Activa and other bikes which costs around 250-300rs.
Everytime after 1-1.5k kms my bike starts feeling rough and hence thougth to change the oil for good.
Also, I asked them if I could switch to the one that comes in black bottle and they blatantly refused stating that it is only for the 250R and also it would void my engine warranty if I change to any other than what they use. Is that true?

3k kms!? Mine starts to feel rough after only 1-1.5k kms! Please read my reply to bala's comment.Originally posted by sanjaysangar1990 View PostIf you go by the user manual it says 10w 30 and then 10w 40 for the conditions where temp are high.
