Brother, please do some mercy till you complete 2000kms or wait till 2nd service as the engine is still not totally matured to overcome the torture you are doing. Hitting is ok..ok if done once or twice, but if you start crusing at that speed then be ready for low F.E.Originally posted by md_minhaj View Post

Bajaj logo gone dim!
Dear fellow STians,
I noticed after my first service the bajaj logo light dimmed drastically as against it was originally resembling in the pic above..
plus the vehicle seems very unstable at times while on sandy road with pillion.
Need to change to tyres?
Suggestions?

125ST is very good. Actually fun to ride than my Ex-pulsar 150 UG3. :POriginally posted by vicedens2002 View PostSome early pictures also did not include the read mudguard.
I have finished 2300km till now
1. It easily reaches till 100. But have gone till 105 kmph a couple of times.
2. I dont face any prblem at gears 3rd and 4th. My problems were at 4th and 5th. I did find a way to correctly shift it. It seems the 4th <-> 5th gears are long throw than the 1st, 2nd, 3rd gears. Just make sure that u swing more for 5th & 4th.
3. This happens very rare to me.
4. Vibrations are present at higher RPMs, I suspect its the windshield. Try to drive above 50kmph while holding the windshield.
Nice clicks
The. VIbrations were there but lessened after first service.
still under 2k on the odo reading so max ive driven is 60 kmph
yes at times while shifting to a lower gear a very peculiar rattling sound with a feeling of the chain going haywire ! Scary feeling when that happens but becomes normal once i shift it further to a lower gear. Say 5 to 4. ( with rattling) 4 to 3 ( normal )
The windhsield i feel has nothing to do with the vibrations. Just my opinion.

For the tyres: Has any one changed their tyres? Not to the most expensive ones, but at least better than stock.
Also, has anyone tried to upsize? And, can tubless tyres be fitted to this bike?
Apart from the tyres, I think this is a very good proposition and good combination of power, mileage, etc.<<<< If you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything! >>>>

Hi guys.. I have one question. Finished the first servicing of my bike at 540km on 4th Dec, 2012. In the bike's manual it's given the second and third servicing should be done at 4,500 to 5000 km/240 days and 9,500 to 10,000 km/240days. When should I actually go for 2nd and 3rd servicings ?Last edited by md_minhaj; 01-12-2013, 05:35 PM.

Got my D125ST today
Hey Guys!
Today I got delivery of my D125ST. I rode about 10kms or so today from showroom to home.
Didn't get much time to experience the bike as it was a busy commute to home.
What I liked:
1. Good pickup
2. Smooth accelerator throttle
3. DC lighting
4. Seat is comfortable
What I did not like:
1. Very poor quality of plastic and rubber
2. Removing seat cover is very tedious
3. Kenda tyres
4. Pathetic fuel control knob
Can't complain things:
1. Brakes seem to be ok. Though did not test them for emergency situations
2. Maintenance free battery
3. The gear change lever is a tad long for me (may be due to riding old bike)
4. Decent rider console. Although a RPM meter would be good
I will post more details as I ride the bike more.
I'm glad to be a part of the D125ST Community

Thanks @antz.bin and @alliwanted.
Please ignore my initial ranting, because I'm comparing things with my previous bike and 9 yrs of experience with it.
I forgot to ask this question earlier. I was getting false neutrals earlier on. But I took another ride now and I seem to get it. The neutral seems to fall correctly, but not always. However, I believe that there should be some "notch" kind of mechanism right? So that when you go from 2 to N, it should stick to N and not fall to 1. In any case, guys, please let me know how this neutral thing can be sorted out. It's not a big deal, but just a small initial worry of my pricky mind.
Yes, I will be posting pictures when I take them. I hope to take them tomorrow, hopefully if I wake up on time for office :P
--------
Let me add my plans here:
1. Change tyres to Michelin. Same size, but better tyres.
2. Remove these notchy things on front and rear mud-guards. Will try to post pic here. (Easy DIY. Will retain the removed parts)
3. Get a wheel rim sticker - blue
4. Get a plastic cover for seat - put on types or permanent. Anything works
5. Cut the upper rear mudflap to give sporty look (Hopefully easy DIY. Will have to check strength of this part first and how to retain it's rigidity.)
6. Straighten the front number plate (possibly not a DIY, but will try to work something out)
7. Remove disc cover. (Hopefully easy DIY)
I hope to get these done ASAP, but it seems I may not have the time for a few days ahead. Lets see.Last edited by squid; 01-18-2013, 01:17 AM.<<<< If you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything! >>>>

Point 2 from above achieved. Two screws in the rear mudguard were too tight and gave a good fight. Now, I've to seal the 3 holes on each mudguard. Have some idea using epoxy material in mind. Will post pics soon.
The next most important one is tyres. Have to get that done soon.<<<< If you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything! >>>>
