I havent gone beyond 50 kmph till now! Trying to be as delicate as i can with my bike! haven't gone beyond 4000-4500 rpm(i think so)! i have reached 350kms in odo! also, i didnt find the engine heat to be more. it was like a regular bike only, no excess heat is produced till now! my bike does pull strongly at low rpm in slight elevations(my opinion ), its having a problem only in high elevated roads! Love the bike in normal roads! but thanks for a very informative explanation. Happy motoring!
    Glad I could help.

Not too keen on going to the svc since cant trust them at all. In last service, they forgot to tighten the lid after filling oil.

Any suggestions? Just living with it for now
Sorry bro, can't see discharge you mentioned anywhere in the photo.
If it's leaking from that round cap like that thing and if it's oily, it could be oil itself. Looks like there is excess oil pressure in the engine.
What you can do is check oil level through oil level inspection window that located at the bottom right side of the engine. Put the bike on main stand, then check oil level.
If you can't see oil level in the window i.e if it's above the window, then that could be the issue. Even too much oil is not good for engine.

One more thing is, don't use bajaj oil. Go for motul. I poured that in in my second servicing, engine performance definitely improved. I have seen bajaj guys pouring engine oil from huge plastic barrels. God knows what different or used oils they put inside those drums! Stay away from bajaj oil. There are three types of oils synthetic, semi-synthetic and mineral, I don't know which to use at what stage of servicing. There are plenty of pages in Help Me section related to oil choice, Check em out. Also find a good bike mechanic and get servicing done from him. I have very bad experience from bajaj service center. Those guys are not only rude but un-skilled as well. I was facing extreme mileage drop issue after 1st service. I went bajaj svc, those idiots could't figure anything out even in two attempts. Once that guy said everything is fine, you might not know how to calculate mileage. That point onward I never went to bajaj svc. My local mechanic fixed problem in one go.

Oil is leaking at the joint between the engine and gearbox. You maybe right on excess oil since I am not able to see the level. Will get it changed to motul from my mechanic soon.

I raised this issue with Sai Service Lower Parel yesterday, and got a call from them few minutes ago. The guy on the phone initially tried saying that they cannot do anything since the last service was done in July. I reminded him that the bike is still in warranty and next service is due in a month. He also said they can do nothing about appointments, it just means you will be attended on that day. No commitments given, no solution offered.

i am sorry to hear about the svc's poor response to your problem. If your problem is not handled properly, You can try approaching bajaj directly through their facebook page or through their website(fb page better). I think it would fetch you a better response for your problem! unlike the SVC's we have, the company has a higher responsibility to our complaints!
          Take care. Happy motoring!

I have lodged a complaint with Bajaj on their website and got a complaint reference number. Will wait until Monday before posting on FB. I have the pics of the bike and have also recorded the call with the dealer.

hello there guys. need some help on this one.
i own a discover 125T (two weeks old), i start the bike after say 4-5 hours of idling (usually in the mornings), and when i put the bike in gear 1 there is a small jerk happening. is there any solution to this...? and is this in anyway a problem to my bike..? I read in this thread that 125st owners and 100t owners are also having this problem. so please clarify whether this is a problem and if yes please suggest me a solution. thank you!

Solution to this is to keep the clutch pressed and give 2 or 3 slow kicks and then start the bike.

So I had enough and tore those extra graphics. Here are the pics. hmmmm it looks nice now.I too tried to remove the stickers and have been successful but there is a sticky glue left behind it.I tried hard but it is not going away any sugesstion from your side on how to remove this adhesive.

Hiii guys need some help regarding the engine oil.
I am going to change my engine oil soon i want your sugesstions which engine oil brand is best for 125ST and what grade.Do we need to strictly follow the oil grade(which is 20W40 SAE) or else can we go for some other grade (like 20W50).And what are the differences between these grades.

To remove the adhesive try rubbing the part with a soft cloth dipped in kerosine! it worked for me! you have to rub applying bit of pressure, but dont worry since the cloth is wet with kerosine, it wont damage the paint! just be careful not to use your nail to do the rubbing!

Thanks for your suggestion.Anyway the bike looks lot better now and another question the sticker (in your second pic) near sides of the seat is it a seperate sticker or have you cut down the sticker in between to leave the remaining sticker.

if you are concerned about size, i would suggest that for the front, buy a tyre that is of same size as the original! but for the rear, i strongly suggest that u go for a 100/90 tyre. whether performance is affected or not, you can be sure that it is more safe that the original! its your choice, upsizing does have its demerits like mileage drop, a little drop in performance.. so and so! so think wisely before you make any decision! happy motoring!

yes upsizing have it disadvantages as ganesh said but u can go for better tyre in 3.00-17(like CEAT,Miclien,MRF) which give better grip than the stock tyres may be ur is kenda.if u are not worried about little drop in performance like mileage and top speed i suggest you to for 100/90-17 for better safety and stability in the same brands as mentioned by me.
