  • Re: Royal Enfield Classic 350 Owner's Review and Experiences

    Good Day to all !

After spending life with Immortal Pulsar150 classic, Pulsar 180 Fear-the-Black series, Yamaha FZ 1st gen, Pulsar 220F, Pulsar 200ns, CBR250R Repsol Edition & Gixxer, I made a DON'T-KNOW-WHY choice of pre-booking a legend this time, slotted ahead for RE Classic 350 (Chestnut/Blue : color will be decided on final day). Actually, me & my friend booked couple of them - it's our very first experiences for both to own and live life with a 109 year old history.

I am still wondering what impacted me to book RE after peaking with such street-oriented performance/tourer bikes, actually was waiting since last 5-6 months to book altogether a newer model (250+cc) but looks like nothing major is launching in before Q3 '16.

I am a complete nomad coming to owning a Bullet, wish me luck-n-support and should be able to post my 1st impression by this month-end as per delivery affirmation from showroom guy.

        • royal enfield handlebar change from stock to cruiser

          hi there,
i really like and thank xbhp.com,it has been a helping hand always.i own a RE 350 classic , i have changed my handlebar from stock to cruiser,i have rode over 5500 kms , communting and touring.

it is believed that riding while stock handlebar is in bike head, gave pain in elbowmp and in arms while riding,so after some time i felt too,my wrist used to ache for hours after riding even 20 kms.riding 50kms felt like riding 500 kms,so much fatigue in arms and wrists.finally i changed my handle to cruiser, mechanic said we have to change only clutch cable ,but when we tried to install the handlebar,he left 2 inchs on bar end, said you have to get cables for more wide .instead says cut the left 2 inchs of bar, though the handle bar is way better comfort .

my problem is that , i want it to extend it to end, mech says i have to get new switchs to extend it more , i dont understand why, switch on left side is short of electric cable.i dont understand what to do

          • Classic 350 possible handle bar height

            Hi,

I want to install the below handle bar on my new RE Classic 350. The height of the handle bar is 26 cm. Will this require any wiring changes on the bike.

1.first of first, go for alloys but get good tires too.
                          spokes look more vintage.

2.headlamp ,get those which have good light even in night.

3.exhaust, change it to custom when you complete more than 2k kms or completed 2 services.go for dolphin, shark, tailgunner, double exhaust or triple exhaust, mini punjab or punjab !

4.rest getting your ride with custom parts is a crazy crazy CRAZE among youth , even in all ages.

i have opened custom store too.

If you change the exhaust to free flow, also please re-jet the carb to avoid running lean. If you insist to change to aftermarket, please wait till approx. 4000kms for engine to properly set and run-in with stock. I dont know about HD sound but you can install FFE with glasswool for good bass sound, while exhaust with conical baffles give more treble.
                            B. Is Alloy Safe For Bullet With Tubeless Tires If Yes Then witch Company And Witch Style or Look. - the alloys coming from shops in Punjab, will have its own risk. You can check Parado brand. For running only in city limits it should be ok, but be wary of potholes and speed breakers. If you plan for TL tyres, please note that the rim wont hold air if there is any bend, so always monitor the tyre pressure and again avoid pot hole like plague.
                            C. Head Lamp Like HID What should i do with it should i really go with HID Or something else but with safety also. - I would prefer stock halogen head lamps, with Aux Led spot lights. Good quality projectors are very expeensive, approx. 15000.
                            D. Any Other Updation you guys like - Tyres. If it is MRF, please change before monsoon. zero wet grip.

                              Hello Everyone,

So it has been a year since my last post. As for the Bull, she is doing good. I'am officially done with the ASC and have switched over to a FNG near my place. The best part is the guy listens to what you have to say and does exactly that. He takes in only one vehicle a day and thoroughly services it before handing it back. A very nice service experience and far far better than the pathetic RE service experience. Also, I put in new LED lights for the Bull and they are very good. Got them 2500/- Rs and the fitment along with clamps was another 500 Rupees. Attaching pics of the same. Please let me know if you need any additional info.
