Re: Help me in choosing between a spoke wheel and an alloy wheel for classic 500
Usually alloys should be lighter in weight compared to spoked rims. Don't know about exact values. Can go for alloys only for "looks" purpose but not for funtionality as there is no availability of tubeless tires for this size.Originally posted by Aswin Bahulayan View Post

I was also facing similar problems. So I changed my silencer with monster of ashu engineering (pune). Now enjoying my ride with more powerful thump without any issue.Originally posted by Darshangowda View PostMy brother was riding . He is new to bullet he suddenly cornered and crossed pothole . Red Rooster and BMC filter for RE 350 a good idea?
Hey, I've just got myself a Red rooster silencer for my RE 350. Sounds sweet and I guess it provides a bit of extra low end grunt as well. I've heard that the BMC air filter coupled with the red rooster gives a performance boost. Is that true? If yes, will that affect the longevity of my engine and gearbox? Need help

Is royal enfield reliable (YES). Is 350 reliable yes ..definately . You can easily cruze through highways and in cities .. But in traffic it bit heavy to manuover. Apart from that, its a wonderful machine .
Regarding insurance ,these days whenvever you purchase a new bike there is always a tie-up with dealers .. Pay that extra money if they are telling you for insurance (For 3 years ) This will valid for 3 years for your bike in case any damaged or accident . Just make sure you compare them with market rates just to check that they are asking you some extra money .
Also post some pics of your machine ..
Cheers

Re: Help me in choosing between a spoke wheel and an alloy wheel for classic 500
Alloy wheels, in principle are light weight but also brittle and more susceptible to cracks if you ever encounter a bad enough pothole. Spoked wheels on the other hand are bulky but can take a significant amount of battering before they are ever warped or bent out of shape.Originally posted by Aswin Bahulayan View PostHi guys
I need your help regarding this. Kindly let me know if the after market alloy wheels available out there are lighter than the default spoke wheel. Eagerly waiting for the reply.
If you are considering alloys for cosmetic upgrade, go for it. If its for functionality, then better take another opinion, if you wanna go tubeless, then do check first if the correct size tubeless tyres are available and then go for alloys.

RTI here means Return to Invoice cover which means if something happens to your vehicle in these three years, they will reimburse you your amount as per invoiced value and not by applying yearly depreciation to IDV, this is mostly for a Zero Depreciation type insurance cover. And if so, then you can go for regular Non Zero Dep insurance too which would help you nullify this amount from your over all price.
If it IS for Zero dep, however my advice would be to GO FOR IT as it is additional piece of mind. One thing you ACTUALLY CAN DO, is check insurance quotes for zero dep, and for 3yrs cover from other available providers as well, ask for discounts, show them other lower quotes you received and buy insurance on your own, for better pricing, if that seems like a better idea to you.
For a further balance between cost and peace of mind, you can opt for 1yr zero dep insurance cover, this (if available) will give you best of both worlds and save you some cost in On Road amount.

Re: Royal Enfield Classic 350 Owner's Review and Experiences
do confirm with Showroom if that is exactly what it means and that it is a zero dep deal. And in either case do check insurance quotes with other providers too...remember the first quote is never the lowest.Originally posted by akashsuryawanshi View PostThank you rugved for such a detailed explanation,if it's so important I will go for 1 year gap insurance with regular insurance.

rugved Vivek Monday I'm going to book my bike, I will ask them about gap insurance again ( in detail) and also about other insurance policies, because now they are offering RE insurance which I have no idea about.
