Re: World of Sprockets!
Now that you have done it, just keep an eye on that link. The sealed chains have no links and hence all the joints are under the same stress. But with a link present, it will be the weakest point in the whole chain.Originally posted by chinmay_7d View Post

Re: World of Sprockets!
Thanks buddy for the information. I've created a new section for P180 UG4, (and added credits to you) in the first post of this thread.Originally posted by chinmay_7d View PostSuccessfully fitted both sprockets from KTM Duke 200 to my P180 UG4. Loving the extra acceleration.
Duke 200 specs: Front: 14T Rear: 43T Chain Links: 110 Chain Pitch: .520 (i think)
Had to remove 6 links from the new duke chain. Got it done from a KTM service guy from Wakadewadi service center.
We have a good knowledge base for changing chain sprockets, all at one place.
Not sure about the seal on the O-ring though. Wish you best of luck. Keep an eye open.---

Re: World of Sprockets!
Honda Unicorn 1st and 2nd Gen: Stock Setup: 15/42
Honda Unicorn 3rd/4th onwards: Stock Setup: 15/43
Direct Fits - With Chain pitch .428 (Unicorn Chain)
Front 14T from Hero Honda Ambition/CBZ/Xtreme
with Rear 38T (Ambition)
with Rear 46T (CBZ Classic)
With Chain Pitch .520 (Karizma chain):
13T/40T of Karizma
13T(ZMA)/38T(P200)
Ambition, cbz sprockets won't fit with unicorn's shaft. Because, unicorn's shaft size is 20/17/4. But cbz & ambition has 20/16/4.

this wont work. unicorn's inner sprocket has a spleen size of 20/17/4. cbz/xtreme/ambition has 20/16/4

Re: World of Sprockets!
^ Guys, for now I have removed the line from the first post, but can you clarify if an older model of either bikes came with a front that fits?
I don't remember the person who contributed this info to me, so can't correctly pinpoint how this was discovered by that person.---

Re: World of Sprockets!
Go for smaller rear sprocket if you can manage a fit.You are already using 15t front.Originally posted by united View PostI have yamaha fz, I already chnged its front sprocket from stock 14T to that of unicorn 15T and the results are amazing. Yes the late 2014 model of duke 200 comes with duke390's 6 hole sprocket setup. I saw a new and old bike and difference was evident.

Re: Sprocket Modifications
If your rear sprocket and the chain are too old, it is good to change as a set. Else if it's ridden for less kms like maximum 1000kms ... Its OK to change the front sprocket alone. Front sprocket is available separately. Ask any two Wheeler spare parts dealer as inner sprocket. I think cbz xtreme has 14t at front. If you change 15t, You will gain top speed. Lose some acceleration.Originally posted by Joseph Barun Nayak View PostHey x-bhpians,I own a cbz xtreme,I hward somewhere about changing xtreme's front sprocket to 15 and then u can notice desirable change, but still I couldnt get the concept clearly.Do i have to change chain sprockets both front and back and also the chain to get better acceleration and higher end torque ?
