Thanks for the update on the road. Guess I will skip it l

However, after that service interval is every 6000 kms or 6 months. However, oil change interval is at 12000 kms. That is if you stick to Motul grade, or other good oil.

I get the oil changed at every 5000 Kms. I dont wait that long. In the service all they do is change Oil filter and Oil, and clean the air filter. Ninja does not require anything else to be done at service.

You can lube the chain yourself every 500 Kms. No need to get that done from SVC. Chain does not require adjustment every service if you keep it lubed.

I have been to Service Center twice in last 15 months of ownership for service. Cost of service is
Cost of Oil - 2.4 litres
Cost of Oil filter - 800 bucks i think. Been very long.
Labour charge + Service tax and VAT

Chain sprocket lasts very long. I have done 15000 KMs and it looks like it will last another 10000 KMs.
Component failure is next to 0, hence you need not worry about spending on other things.

My yearly bill for maintaining Ninja 300 comes to little less than 10,000 bucks. That can be brought down, if you know a good mechanic who wont screw up simple task as Oil and Oil filter change.

I get it done by Motozone, and visit SVC every alternate service, just to keep my entry in their records in case of any warranty claims.

WOW!! I was expecting service costs to be in the range of 30k a year lol bloody sales guys dont know anything. They told me service cost per service is 5k and every 3 months.

Any idea if this is the same for the ninja 650 as well?
      Regardless, Life shall go on.

Congrats on your purchase. You'll definitely love the Ninja throughout your ownership. The best thing is, it's for a huge list of accessories that are available for upgrades and customization.

I'm in Delhi and ride a Ninja 250, but I'm more into sports riding so do not have information of most of the stuff you mentioned above. However, I get custom made decals from local stores and install them on my own. Currently working on the Monster Tech 3 Yamaha scheme from the satellite MotoGp team. Will share the pics once done, hopefully by the end of this weekend.

Online, you can by some stuff from planetdsg - I ordered my tank pad, gloves and paddock stand from them. Otherwise and performance upgrades the best person would be Vikram(Motozone) from Pune. He's very helpful and will guide you correctly consider your objective.

All the best for the run in, it's difficult to keep yourself restricted below the mid range for so many kilometers.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

How are you breaking in 4k at sixth gear is around 60 kmph. That's very unsafe while over taking etc... I am taking it to 5k ... But am keeping it below 6k. I know on this thread people have suggested varying it ... But any response would be nice

honestly nothing beats the Ninja Green. the best out there..
still my choice would be camo next to that...
else do some photo shop try diffrent combinations..

however---- again... i would never suggest anything to cover that gorgeous green. a good detailing job would be a wiser decision than wrapping it.

4k rpm ? nah man.. i vary it around. max 6k rpm. very rarely i push it past 7-8k rpm. 4k rpm is unrealistic in chennai traffic and i will be showered with curses if i ride like that.
also i dont stay in constant speed. hopefully i dont red line it before the 1600 kms . lol..

a detailing job and some pin striping should be good rather than a whole color change..

something like this. alternatively you can keep the bike white and alloys powder coated/painted in different shade.
