Hi imrandkhan,

Thanks for the response. I'm very concerned about the breaking on N300. So far we all have lived with the non-ABS motorcycles, and we have our own experiences with wheel lock-up's. Can you comment something on the breaking performance of N300 on various types of roads? How do you rate the braking on N300 out of 10? If possible, I would like to hear your experiences on N300. I'm also going through each and every post of this thread.

Thanks a lot,
Chiyaanchinnu.

I was wondering if we could buy a non ABS version now and fit the ABS unit as and when it is launched? Will it be possible or is it even possible now in other countries?
I had ordered a Green 300 and they have brought the White one. Isn't it weird? Has anyone faced such a problem? Now I'll have to wait another 45 days or so.

You can contact motozone for abs. They have done it

I would give 6 out of 10 on breaking front, they are little spongy compared to N250R and need some practice for getting use to them. I myself had couple of rear wheel locking incidents in the initial days, you unknowingly end up pressing rear break more when you don't feel the required feedback from the front. Lucky that no incidents turned ugly and helped me understand my Ninjas the breaks better.
So,
1. One should go for N300 only if he/she is a experienced rider,
2. And even if that One he/she is experienced, should spend some decent time and kilometers for understanding the N300s breaking before starting to ripping her off madly
3. Should consider the tyre upgrade from IRC to something stickier, if you can

Breaks are not the best but they are not as bad as you hear about them and just demand some time for getting use to them.

For anyone who was been continuously riding bikes in India lack of ABS should not be an issue. But be careful when you have bigger bikes capable of higher speeds because just pressing back brake out of habit will make you spin. But even then ABS doesn't really act until it's an extreme emergency braking.

This might push Kawasaki to bring ABS N300 for sure , but 2017 is too far yet

Congrats! Where did you book? Here in Guwahati, bikes are arriving in 15-20 days!

Meanwhile, completed 600 kms today. 2 weeks exact. Thinking of having the 1st service by next week. Its hard to resist oneself at 4k rpm! :P

Yes, the stock brakes on Ninja 300 lack bite. It feels wooden, and there is no consistency. However, changing the pads to Brembo Sintered pads have been very effective in my case. There is a difference of day and night. Braking has lot more feedback, and the spongy/ wooden feeling is gone. Changing to Brembo's has been the best ever mod on my bike.

Guys, completed 14,000 Kms, with just 10 days to complete a year of ownership. It has been wonderful 14,000 Kms, and the learning curve has been interesting. Coming from a single pot to a twin cylinder requires certain amount of getting used to the power delivery, the gear box, the dynamics a lot of other tit-bits.

I use my bike primarily for commuting (60 Kms a day), with short rides of 250 Kms round trip on every alternate weekend (Some times once a month, would love to increase the frequency of that, but I am married, and it gets tough to find some time for your passion). I have been to Goa and back, and few trips to Kashid and Dapoli.

Overall, I am really happy with my investment on this bike, and I am sure she is with me for the long haul. If I were to go back in time and buy a bike again, I would still pick up the Ninja 300. She has ticked all the right boxes for me with quality and refinement being top most requirement.

And yes, I have crashed twice, and both the times, 0 dep has saved the day. Contrary to what non-owners think, I didn't have to wait ages to get the parts delivered for fixing the bike. Bajaj, has been very good in providing support for the bike. The only time it took was for surveyor to survey and finally approve the work.

I booked it here from KTM, Nirjuli at Arunachal. Actually, they ordered white ninja in advance and it is already on the way and would arrive by 20th of this month. Now even if I i want the green one I'll have to wait for their next shipment to arrive which will be based on how they sell off the current bikes. If all arrived bikes are sold off within this month, they'll get the next shipment by June last or else its July max. Never seen a white ninja up close, never know i might be smitten. But Not in a hurry anyways as I am so hoping the kawasaki surprises us with an ABS version. Hope against hope
So is the N300 meeting your expectations? What is the ex-showroom price and OTR in guwahati? Here its Rs 3,65,000/- Ex-showroom.

Here in pune N300 costs 4.1 lakhs and ER6N costs 5.5 lakhs

So N300 looks overpriced considering what it offers as compared to ER6N or N650.
So if spending 1-1.5 lakhs more is not issue then why not to go for N650 or ER6N?
