Do you have an alternative? I am not converting it to a rickshaw. But at the same time, don't want to risk my or pillions clothes or people driving behind me just so that bike looks good while we get muddy. Rickshaw mudflap is just an example because everyone knows how it looks. Many cars too hang similar flat behind their rear tire.

I rode on wet roads in last tour, and mud was sprayed on saddle bags, pillions back and even her helmet! I would rather have the flap to manage the mud spray.

And advise to sell for wanting to make the bike more useful? Ha ha, that's a first one for me

I saw a product online: Flexi Fender eXtender FFX for motorcycle extension flap mudguard

    Has anyone done anything similar?
Why not this instead, Fenda Extenda - Fender Extender Kawasaki Ninja 300
    Many other websites selling it.
    I believe I can fly...

Because 1000rs+ for a mud flap is bit steep, no? I am looking at local or DIY options.

Hey, that's a good mod Which part is this? What do I need to tell the Bajaj spare parts shop for getting this? How is it mounted? I don't see any mount from the right side, it is just hanging on the left side attachment? Any close brushes with the tire?

Good looking mod, I wouldn't care if it said 'Hero Cycles' or 'Bajaj Auto Rickshaw' as long as it served its purpose.

                      Hi,
I have been sitting on the fence for some time now, 2 years to be exact. I decided I want a bigger&faster bike when D390 got released even though the initial test ride didn't appeal due to seating comfort I went ahead and booed the bike for the things it gave at that price. At nearly the same time there was news of RC390 and one look at it, I went back and cancelled my booking and wait started for the RC390. Around Last Sep the RCs got released and it was time to spend the amount saved so far in its name. It definitely was total VFM but include some stellar components in build too. I took the test ride two months back and it felt like devil on wheels! But somehow the ride didn't make the impact I had expected so I waited for sometime not knowing what to do. This is when all the RC/D390 ownership reports started pouring in and though I acknowledge there will be some issues for a new release some were not so trivial to be dismissed. But RC as a package for the money can still lot of sense if one can ignore those. Well I again decided to wait for the R3/R25 which was doing rounds. After 6 months of wait and reading the R3 reviews and with no clear sign of when/if it will be made available, I took another test ride of RC390 a month back hoping to find that lost feeling- it's bloody fast off the blocks but apart from speed and braking I still came up empty, either the stance and/or the vibes stopped me from enjoying it fully.

Now two weeks back while on way to meet someone I just stopped by at KTM Indiranagar showroom and casually asked if I can get a test ride on N300 and to my surprise they agreed right away. I saw the Z300 there as well which was a feast for the eyes too until you ask for the price. Well, for the test ride the moment I slipped my leg over the saddle and held the handle bars I felt at home. Now the turn of ignition and the ever smooth engine purrs to life and what happened in the next 10 mins literally stole my heart. I was little apprehensive as this was the first time I am riding a sportsbike but a few seconds in to the ride and all fears vanished. The beauty of the machine moved me and I was grinning like a boy which is a preposterous for a middle aged guy! The bike handles like a dream and I was concerned about reviews saying it need high revs to keep it going and all, crap, at 2nd it can scream to 80 as well as putter gently in 20s. The acceleration is just straight line linear and too good and the balance I found while riding was superb.
Now after the ride I'm still smiling inside but thinking at the same time- shit what have I done, how can I resist the urge to own one now. The high cost kept me thinking for another week but considering the ride first and top class build quality and excellent reviews, I succumbed. I can't believe I am spending 4L for a bike but I went ahead booked the Ninja 300

Can somebody here tell me if there are any changes for 2015 N300.

Finally took the delivery last Tuesday. A wait of around a month since it reached the showroom. Special thanks to KTM Guwahati for keeping the bike for so long with them, while they could have sold the ready available one to any prospective buyer.

Done around 250 kms till now, all in city, basically home to work and back. Its too hard to keep the rpms under 4k!! Trying hard to keep it, but once or twice take it to 6k! Pure fun to ride it around the city traffic, with such strong low and mid range torque! Its effortless to pull from 30kmph on 4th gear!

Guys, Midori Jr. (@Sachinnair sorry buddy. I too love the name Midori) crossed 13,000 Kms last week. I took her for a ride when the meter showed 13,049 Kms and covered 500 Kilometres . This one is definitely for the keeps. A few snaps from the ride:

I have installed Bremobo sintered brake pads at the front and rear. I have also installed Factory Pro detent arm, and these 2 mods are the best mods I have done so far.

Braking has improved a lot, and has become more consistent and predictable.

And I am surprised, my chain sprocket is still doing good, and it looks like there is another 5000 Kms atleast. Chain does not need adjustment at all, just normal cleaning and lubing with Motul cleaner and spray.

                            ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Apart from colour of the Ninja logo on the tank nothing has changed here. Previously it was black now its green on my ninja. The tire had been changed in other countries but here Bajaj is clearing its old stocks. This is just AFAIK. By the way congratulations.. When you are getting yours baby ninja?? Which colour?

Thanks . Yeah that's what I noticed that in other countries they have now changes the tyres to dunlops but no change here.
I have opted for green but I'm thinking if white is better from customization angle. I will get it in a week is what the dealer told me.
