Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience
I have ridden CBR ABS, Non ABS and Ninja 250R. For me the braking feel over the lever and how the speeds were cut were in the order N250R>CBR STD>CBR ABS. Somehow I felt that the braking was to sudden and harsh on the ABS equipped version. I knew how much lever I need squeeze in the standard brakes but I always was on unease with the CBR ABS.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostI have a question for all.
Does ABS kick in every time a lever is pressed hard or only when the wheels are about to lock? Asking because I've never braked hard on an ABS equipped vehicle.
If it's only when the wheels are about to lock, how's the experience different from a standard vehicle?
Sent from my phone. Kindly avoid it while riding.
Bhai, you are are one of our mods and must have ridden monstrous bikes of all kinds. My knowledge is fairly limited, about 1-2% of what you have but that's what I felt and it could very well be one different case with me. Plus, I feel that we should learn braking on non-electronics stuff first before moving to the electronics. Going to swimming with oxygen tank from day 1 is not something I would like to do.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience
As far as ABS is concerned, the objective is never to stop the vehicle faster, but to stop it safely. The stopping distance can be greater on an ABS equipped bike and a rider(who has the skills) can always brake faster with ABS Off. The place or conditions where ABS is most useful is on wet or loose surface.
I've driven the RC which is also a great stopper but with ABS "on", it stops like Sh**. It reminds me of drum brakes that I used on my 1st bike. But that was on a dry surface. On a wet track it might have impressed.Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience
Hello brothers
I have zero'd the Ninja 300 for an upgrade to my P220. Booking would be done in 2 weeks. Now, the insurance offered from the showroom is of New India or Oriental India at a premium of 7k. This is comprehensive but not a zero dep. When I inquired about zero dep, the showroom people expressed their inability to help and asked me to get an executive from any insurance company where I wish to get the zero dep from and have the insurance done before delivery.
Currently, I couldn't find any company offering zero dep here in Guwahati. Can you help me get a quote online or any other method to get a zero dep insurance?

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience
Thanks! First they brushed off saying they don't do 2 wheeler insurance in North East states. Just showed them the quotation from showroom, they agreed!Originally posted by Ivin View PostGo to nearby ICICI Lombard Insurance and ask them for zero dep . They will do it . Try their site too. Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience
Looks like I am using this thread as blog!
I have lowered the headlight, so now the LOW beam actually lights up the road. Previously the low beam would illuminate the car in front, and high beam would target truck driver's eyes!
Also changed the suspension to setting 3. Rains in Pune are keeping the Ninja indoors, hopefully will get to test it soon.
Lastly, added a surprise modification to make me comfortable while riding. I will review and will post the details later.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 300 Ownership Experience
I guess Ninja owners rarely face any problem, so not many posts about their problems and no resulting solutions and tips from fellow owners; making this a very dead thread. Not to forget the miniscule number of Ninja owners. They all seem to be busy enjoying their ride.Originally posted by animeher View PostLooks like I am using this thread as blog!
My humble request to all the owners is that please do write about your ownership experience for the lesser fortunates to just imagine and enjoy what you experience in real. Search for niggles, even if you have to nitpick and share your difficulties so that future owners can learn.
I have been a N250 fan since I first saw it in an auto expo in mumbai in Nov 2007 but could never afford one. By the time I felt I could buy one, N300 came and the price stamped was way out of my reach, yet again. Now I would probably end up buying a KTM RC390 for its unimaginable value for money factor but i still and would always enjoy reading about the Ninja300.
So people, i know you are all busy but do take time to write about your machine or atleast post pictures for us to drool over. Pictures from Google is never as satisfying as the ones taken and uploaded by actual owners here.
