That's hard to believe mileage figure, how did you measure it?

Came back from service... Filled it to reach main.... Then started drive.... After coming back to reserve filled another liter exactly and started to meter until it came back to reserve.

          Hi Prajwal,

I too have completed 2.5k and I get the mileage between 47-50 kmpl.
+/- 2 km is fine. This is the ideal figure of mileage one should get on any 150 cc bike, I guess.
Surprisingly I got this mileage figure when I was riding continuously around 4k and even at 6-7k, during two different occasions.
Still there is room for improvement after we go through 2nd servicing. I am hoping it would improve by 1kmpl at least.
          Keeping the fingers crossed.
Maximum what I got was 52 kmpl.

Third run (since 1st service)...after some rough acceleration in tight traffic, Im getting only 38 kmpl.....very inconsistent mileage....I have refuelled from the same fuel vendor for all three times. First two times without did not check tyre pressure (never filled air since purchase until then). Third fuel after 1 service, I gauged nitrogen at 25-31 and after some rough acceleration, I get 38.5 kmpl....quite inconsistent...any explanation?

Improper Carb afr mixture , petrol thieves, petrol bunk guys giving lesser fuel, tank cap is leaking petrol vapour, side stand petrol leakage (carb float issue), adulterated fuel.
Change petrol bunk, get bike inspected and you will know the reason.

I trust this petrol bunk as I have fueled with them for nearly 3 years (with my old bike). How do I monitor other things? My next service is due in 3 months :-o

How can you be so sure they wont con you after 3 years! Never trust all bunks. Family belongs to petroleum! Friends too! We only know andar ki baatein
                  Now,
Heres what to monitor and change

Improper Carb afr mixture- get carb tuned ,
petrol thieves- keep a tab on how much petrol you leave the bike with before and after you park it somewhere and leave it alone
, petrol bunk guys giving lesser fuel- no good way to check this... change the bunk!,
tank cap is leaking petrol vapour- park bike in sun and put your closed full face helmet on top of the petrol lid.... 10 mins later pick up the helmet and where it... smell a lot of petrol? voila your issue.
, side stand petrol leakage (carb float issue),- park thr bike on side stand and watch 2 pipes in front of your rear wheel below the bike any fuel dripping from it? Tilt the bike further... now?(dont let the bike sleep on the road but!)
                  adulterated fuel.- change the bunk.

Your spark plug should tell you about the afr post s pic.

I'll check one by one....sadly I cant change the fuel station as its the only one bw my office and home (2km ride ) unless an alternative opportunity presents itself otherwise

This is the reason for your low mileage. Ride for only 2 kms will not let the engine to reach its optimum performance and thus mileage will be low. On weekends go for a long ride and check the mileage, pretty sure bike will return good mileage.

Man, if I were you I would walk to office daily & take the ride for weekend getaways. It shouldn't take you more than 25-30 minutes of casual walk to cover 2 km.

PS: Humans are evolved for walking (perhaps even for jogging) ;-)

Drain all of the fuel from your bike and fill exact or near exact one litre of petrol and take her on a long ride and then check the mileage, but don't forget to keep spare petrol with you.

                                Hello Guys...

Been away from the forum for a while.

Got second servicing done of my bike @ 3700 kms.
Mileage and engine refinement wise bike is going great. I get around 48-49 kmpl in City.

But since last servicing, I can feel that one thing has changed with my bike and I don't know whether it is good or bad.
My bike's handle bar weighs up as I gain speed. It will be become so heavy that bike will not allow me to leave the lane too easily.
But I am able to maneuver the bike very well through the traffic and at slow speeds.
I am confused, whether it is a problem or a good thing? But for sure it was not the case before the servicing.

Does second servicing include any sort of handle bar tuning??

I am quite irritated with Honda guys by now.
First I had to chase them to get my petrol tank under warranty. Finally done with that.
But while fitting it they have screwed something with fuel gauge float inside the tank.
They are not able to figure it out in 2 visits, going to visit for third time this weekend.
Now this handle bar issue popped up.
It has been just 3.5 months of ownership and these are the concerns I have to deal with.

Honda: sach kar denge sapne, sirf apne!!
