Re: Problem with my new bike's handle bar alignment
Very well said no bike is perfect I've had Unicorn'04, CBR250'11 & Trigger'13 present, the only problem I faced was with the SVC & recently the had to change the clutch cable & minor repair work as I was filling petrol from a specific petrol station continuously and it started to give me jerks on inspecting found lot of carbon deposited. If you are not satisfied go to Honda2wheelers site & complain and see the difference, Honda has improved a lot, I had complained that I needed a saree guard with foot rest it was made available in 2 days but I could not check myself the customer care kept on calling me via land-line & mobile phone twice a day till I was satisfied and a request do keep a good rapport with the SVC managers they do help you out.Originally posted by s1d View PostSeeing a lot of quality gurus around lately.
What is the idle RPM in the morning?

Re: Problem with my new bike's handle bar alignment
There is a small copper wire end near the base of the clutch lever.. when you depress the clutch a circuit is joined/broken that allows you to use the selfstart... its a fail-safe so dat you dont crank the bike in gear...causing it to jerk, lunge forward and stall.... the thing must have corrosion on it.... rub the points with sandpaper it will work perfectlyOriginally posted by dichkaun View PostI have a 6 month trigger and at times I find that the bike does not start in 1st gear after pressing the clutch. Earliar it used to start.
Any reason why this is happening?
Honda makes well engineered products no doubt... its just a few products that earn/ destroy a reputable name.....Originally posted by MAVERICK_m21 View PostVery well said no bike is perfect I've had Unicorn'04, CBR250'11 & Trigger'13 present, the only problem I faced was with the SVC & recently the had to change the clutch cable & minor repair work as I was filling petrol from a specific petrol station continuously and it started to give me jerks on inspecting found lot of carbon deposited. The hero karizma is supposed to be a very high quality product... which it is... whereas a hero achiever... ehhh less said the better
Change the bunk...excessive carbon deposits can be a tubing issue with the uni or other caRbed bikes... but if its happening with just one pump its mostly low quality adulterated fuel...
Idle rpm will be high in the morning or during cold start situation untill the engine warms up... the ecu uses sensors in the cbr and other fuel injection cArs/bikes.... and if it senses that the engine is cold it will richen the afr for a short duration untill the engine warms up.
Do one thing next morning on your first start.. crank the bike and look at the rpm...wait for 2 to 3 minutes...let it idle. note again... the idle rpm will drop down automatically
Hope this helps.
Cold start:- around 2 to 2.5 k rpm...
Will gradually come down to 1 or 1.5 k rpms on a cbr 250r
Fun fact:- the cbr150r is a rev maniac. It generally idles at 2 to 2.5 k rpm!!! I wonder what the cold start rpms will be?!

a cbr150r is supposed to idle at around 1600Originally posted by Divyanshp150 View PostFun fact:- the cbr150r is a rev maniac. It generally idles at 2 to 2.5 k rpm!!! I wonder what the cold start rpms will be?!
find the fun fact: Check out a Dio's owners manual and let me know what its supposed to idle at
For those with honda's and want to know the idle rpm, kindly check the user manual. If its off by more than 1000rpm on your ride, do have it checked and adjusted.Last edited by s1d; 10-08-2014, 02:19 PM.

The quality of small switches on even old hondas was bad. But I think your problem might be dirt on the switch or a loose contact. Check it

Re: Problem with my new bike's handle bar alignment
Dude seriously do you always read the owners manual and take it as hard fact? Real world situation can always vary you know... check out the cbr 150r owner ship thread and several ownership reviews online or drop by my masis place...1600+- 100 rpm is written in the book... but the bikes always idle around 1900- 2000 rpm plus! even when hot. And good luck with changing that without a remap... thats how the sensors here are.... thats how it isOriginally posted by s1d View Posta cbr150r is supposed to idle at around 1600

Re: Problem with my new bike's handle bar alignment
I have seen a cbr150r idle at around 1600rpm on a warm engine.. real world figures will vary .. but if its as much as by 4000rpm then its not normal. And sorry i am not as experienced as you are on the mechanicals or workings of a cbr. you mentioned it idles at as much as 2500 as per your prev post.Originally posted by Divyanshp150 View PostDude seriously do you always read the owners manual and take it as hard fact? meaning, the difference/variation should not be as high as 4000rpm ... for example: if recommended idle is 1200rpm, its ok if its between 1100 to say 1350 max.. but 1600 is not acceptable.

Re: Problem with my new bike's handle bar alignment
has anyone got the problem of having not getting enough power or inconsistent rpm (not about the choke cable) or or not feeling much power.........??
if you face this problem i have got a solution for you.......
our bike's breathing is too much restricted to make the bike a silent fellow, so, whenever a person sits in the pillion seat the seat gets tightened and the papers under the seat will make it uncomfortable to breathe .... this problem can be overcomed by making one or two slit like hole on the rubber cap of the bike's arifilter box only the slight top portion has to be taken ...... like 0.5cm length and 4cm width. Just use paper blade to cut it.....

Re: Problem with my new bike's handle bar alignment
Is there any place I can get the english version of Trigger's owners manual.
The one which came with my bike is in hindi and the dealer only had a hindi copy.

They supply owners manual in one language? 😵. That is new. Mine is in two languages. Mine is also thick and two sided. Maybe yours is too.
