Dude what was your problem exactly with tank as I have faced a similar issue wherein ASC have changed my tank because they gave me STD. model instead of DLX now the bike gives me mileage of around 45Km/ltr reserve to reserve method but as soon as it comes in reserve it does not go ahead of 20 Kms & the reserve is 2.5 Ltrs right? What can be the problem for same is it fuel gauge?
    Thank you

I am not sure if I understand you. Are you saying that fuel tank of STD and DLX models are different? I doubt.
I got the tank replaced because it has caught rust at the neck inside the tank.
About the reserve, the reserve displayed on the gauge (blinking bar) is different than the physical reserve (one which makes you turn the fuel tap).
IMO, the display reserve corresponds to 2.5 litres approximately and don't know about the physical reserve yet.

        .
Its the same its just that before thy changed the tank the physical reserve was working fine but after replacing the tank it only goes 25 Kms in reserve. I think the float is causing the problem, tried all additives but nothing worked. Need to get behind Kothari Wheels again

Can someone here tell if their mono suspension eventually became soft or does it stay rock hard forever? I've completed 3500KM and I see no difference. Even the smallest gap in tarmac, say on flyover joints will send the shock to the spine. Honda service has already put it in SOFT and the tire pressure is alright. I don't want to live with this if it'll not soften. I would sell it off.

          • Problem with my new bike's handle bar alignment

Hi All, I own a 1 month old Honda CB Trigger, which I bought after selling my 7 yr old Yamaha Libero G5. Right from day one I felt something strange with the handle bar. I think the handle bar is not evenly balanced. It seems slightly inclined to the right. I have never felt this in my old bike. I tried explaining it to the Honda service center guys, but after a test ride they simply denied there is any fault without taking it for a repair. The problem is that, everytime I make a left turn the handle bar feels heavy and I had to apply more pressure to the left side than the right. Eventually it led to hand pain after a ride of about 15-20 kms everyday. How can I make the Honda service center guys understand this problem? I am not able to convince them to take a complaint on this. Looks like they are not interested in listening to these kind of complaints. Honda stands for quality but in my case they even failed to fulfil a very basic requirement for a rider. Is there any method to check the handle bar alignment like wheel alignment? How can I prove the Honda service center guys that there is a mistake with the handle bar alignment? How can I make them to take a complaint on this and repair the same?

Though a new bike shouldn't have any such problems, but a bike which has been dropped real bad while transportation might have bent the handlebar or twisted the fork.

Does the bike pull towards one side if you leave the bars on a straight road?
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

First of all clear your misconception that honda stands for quality no they simply don't at least in India, they are even poorer than Bajaj in listening and rectifying complaints, though it's very sorry to hear that the new bike is having this handle problem, if the service centre guys are not hearing(which they will) then mail directly to the company and see what they have to say, although my friend has got very bad experience from the company reply also but i hope that won't be a case with you, and if you don't find any proper answer just replace the handle even if you have to shell some money.

Next time you visit the asc, try and ride another cb trigger and see how it handles. Because sometimes it might be 'normal' while for someone coming from riding another motorcycle it might be 'abnormal' . For example, if I ride a pulsar 150/180 in stop go traffic, i end up getting pain in my left arm.. but that doesn't happen with other bikes. A simple fix such as moving the handle bar to suit your position would do.
One more reason could be the cables routing which someone had mentioned earlier on another thread..sometimes they might not be routed properly and so while turning towards one side you might feel resistance. Last but not the least, pls maintain the right tire pressures.

Finally, It is highly unlikely to be damaged forks, maybe just out of alignment.. This can be fixed by loosening up the nuts at the axle, mudguard & triple-t, and then just pushing down with hands on the handle bar so that you compress the shocks a couple of times and then re-tighten the nuts. (learned this from reading and watching some stuff posted by someone respectable on the internet, and it makes total sense to me.. Forks do not get 'bent' that easily..they just 'jump' out of alignment in most cases.)
And lastly, remember there will be 'n' number of people going around say 'x' brand is best 'y' is waste blah blah blah.. the bottom line is 90% of asc's be it any brand provide the same level (as in below par) of customer service.. and you should understand that this is a machine and will have a niggle or two and it all comes down to how you handle and fix it ! Be polite but firm with the asc , and you can always email hmsi or any manufacturer for that matter these days. Do not use smileys and impolite language when you write/speak to them. And for heavens sake do not write stuff like 'i had so much faith in honda blah blah kind of stuff' - just go right to the point and explain your problem and ask them to fix it.

There is no visible marks or other problems to indicate any damage. I have tested it at low and high speeds but don't think there is a pull. But I observed one thing, while riding if I leave one hand the handle bar starts shaking slightly but its controllable. Is that a concern?

pl go over the prev post by me.. shaky bar might mean wrong (low) tire pressure/bad tires or coneset, wheel bearings - simplest way as i said is for you to ride another cb trigger and take it from there. u need to troubleshoot starting from simplest things instead of straightaway jumping in to putting more labor/money in.

That sounds right, when it comes to India quality is compromised. I am going to give it another shot, I will go to the service center one more time to get this checked and if no proper response then I have to escalate.

Yeah man that's what the problem is when a company boasts so much of itself and provide the customer with very poor service, then you have to complain it to them, it might sounds to someone iam against a brand , iam against the behaviour of the company and its dealers which they provide to the customer, after all it's your hard earned money which you have invested in there brand, and if the product is not upto the mark then it's your right to take it up to the higher segments.

guys talking about the quality my choke cable was damaged.... my bike has completed 8000km
my i had a tvs victor gl, i never had to change the choke cable infact never had to use that and i was getting great mileage from that bike
i also had a bajaj pulsar 180 which also, but then never had to use the choke to start my bike...
every talking about the quality of honda... after using these bikes i never enjoyed quality of my victor gl(after changing it's plug to iridium) in any bikes i have used, and the quality seems to be dimnishing.... year after year....

the service center guys of honda never hear anything from us... most of them are posers... and i'm not getting enough to my bike.....
the engine of my bike is smooth, but it has to get the care it needed.... for mileage purpose they are using 10w30 engine oil.. usually in indian condition the engine oil must atleast be 20w40.. 10w30 drains faster and the oil burns as the engine heats up and it is bad for the bike....

note this always use 20w40 engine oil of elf, shell, motul or mobil1 (semisynthetic or synthetic) for your bike these are the best oil you can get
