  • re: Honda CB Trigger Ownership Experiences and Reviews

    Hi..

Ran 270kms in 5 days and Quite happy with the bike.
Have following concerns and hence wanted to know your opinions
    1. Engine is dissipating more heat, so much that I can feel it on my legs.
    2. I feel that pick up in the first gear is bit below the mark. With pillion, bike finds difficult to get wheels rolling.
    3. I am getting around 40kmpl.

Does these issues will get solved after first servicing ?
Have you ever faced any of these issues?

Nice carbon fibre touches . Makes the bike look a bit racier (which is of course contrary to the nature of the bike).
I wonder why manufacturers don't give such visual treatment now-a-days (except Apache RTR V2).

Is the bike a hoot to ride?
Say like a pulsar classic.... punchy rough and very short and small wheelbase...corners like a dream and the power is in a big lump, its loud, gearbox is rough, but still it feels punchy (which is lost in current gen pulsars)
Ps;- I have an old classic pulsar,,, reliable as hell! Has its little niggles, but its my baby....

No bike isn't punchy, but it's a Honda, reliable smooth and have enough power to roll for any task you throw at it. Just don't expect miralces or speed from it, it's kinda like a cruiser type bike, calm, super smooth and comfortable. Spelaing with 30kms + experience, although regular owners will be able to provide more info.
And I beg to differ about your punchy remark, try a 200ns and you'll change your defination of "punchy" word.also ~80k for honda trigger is highly overpriced and hence why it's presence is very low.

Don't try to fix me, I'm broke so I don't work

Actually the p200ns is very refined...mayb not as much as a honda.
But I kind of like old bikes and cars... a little rough and notchy...
Old rusty bullets, pulsars, cbz classics....shoguns, rx and all...
              Hence the remark....
Even an apachy feels kind of punchy and rough because of its vibes...
Near my home a man has an old royal enfield.....cast iron kolkata police bullet...
The red has faded to an orange..
              Chrome has blistered...
He has welded a roughly cut rusty iron plate to the exhaust and has old rusty side boxes...
Mechanically the bike is new and he has spent a lot of time and cash...
But that old look he has kept....
You cant replace the patina on these things... they look soooooo cool....
Why am i saying this here anyways...
But I saw a trigger in white today looked very very nice
And the base model is priced same as a p150??
And I must say its a very short bike.
Kind of having thoughts on buying a weekday bike (daily commuter) but im a college bloke so it has to look cool and be easy on my pocket too....
And keeping my classic pulsar as a weekend warrior hence gathering knowledge about the trigger.

                This is kinda OT.
Ask this in what bike thread.
                MY QUICK tip.
As you love vibes and all, buy only apache Rtr160/180 .if I had to buy a bike under 80k, I would've gone for apache,as its the least popular =more exclusive bike here.
And if you can source 20k more, get the dream bike.

Don't try to fix me, I'm broke so I don't work

You can't change it to miles.

No you cannot, not even on CBR250R as stated by you in all Honda bikes, for your information 1.6 Kms makes 1 Mile, the only Indian bike to have both speedo was on Enfield's..

Done 2600 Kms till date, I feel the stock MRF rubber is not up-to the mark & I just hate the switch gear, wanted what is the capacity of reserve in fuel tank is it 2.5 litres because my bike is only able to go 25 Kms in reserve, what can be the reason? I have put petrol addictive from ASC as well but no solution.

Well thanks for information bro. I didnt say all honda bikes.. i said others..(if it makes any difference?) And yeah, honda CBR1000R has both the units..

Okay so Trigger dont have two units for odo. I dont know then why there are "mile" and "average" options on meter?

anyone facing problem of stiff rear monoshock??
I tuned it most soft setting, but it is still very hard and it harms my back on these dirty Pune roads.
                              Any solution?

                              Regards,

Did you try decreasing rear tyre pressure? The optimum rear pressure on cold tyres for single rider is 29 psi and for rider + pillion is 33. If you ride alone I will say stick to 29. Even with a pillion you can decrease to 31. Keep front tyre pressure at 25psi at all times. Generally petrol bunks just fill in Front 26 Rear 36 which results in bumpy ride.
