I thought I would put my hands on the tappets after 5-6 k kms. will that be fine? and do you know any solution for the noisy gear shift
Yep touch after 5 k no issues but remember to use a feeler gauge and not 6th sense
Noisy gearshifts will vanish after first service and just in case check free play of cluth lever and adjust from engine side

Ouch, I hope you are not injured
Trigger parts are real hard to get in the open market right now, best bet is the svc, if there is more damage get an insurance claim

Guys, anyone of you have experienced the fading of color on parts like brake levers?
My Trigger's brake levers (Both in hand and foot lever) have started to loose the paint at many places?

Considering I have used this bike for around 2100 km only in two months, this does upsets me.

Every motorcycle's brake lever and clutch lever paint gets faded, either you paint them again with black colour or just use flexible pvc covering over them, you can get these pvc coverings at 2wheeler accessories shop, they are used by heating them up, when you heat these pvc material they began to expand and as soon as they expand pull them over your bike's brake lever hand and foot, smoothen them, and once cold they will stick to the lever.

Sorry to burst your bubble but thats happens to most bikes,
Unfortunately the trigger as I am seeing a few more samples seems to be a bit low on quality with reference to body panels etc, dont take me wrong and this is to not hurt any owners feelings, the bike is great vfm and at par quality with bajaj now (sorry but this is not a compliment)
Its not bad quality, just not as good as we are used to with honda,..

Honda's Unicorn was an exceptional bike, not sure of the quality of current unicorn model, but if Honda is at par with Bajaj then it does means that either Bajaj has come up to the level of Honda or Honda has slipped to the level of Bajaj, in either case it dosen't make sense nor it is of any worth to buy Honda bikes then if they are at par with Bajaj, pulsar has got much more features and full DC is a must feature, which trigger hasn't got.Honda is just cashing there name nothing else.

No no the honda quality is still better when it comes to engine etc,
Its the body panels and parts im tsking about, switch gear, and notice the frame where the chassis no, is stamped, that part never rustd in a unicorn even after 5 odd years, but in trigger it rusts out of the factory, even team bhp guys testing reported this, moreover tank rust from the inside was reported buy a guy here, engine though is still a gem,

I would agree. I have an avenger and recently got a trigger. The difference in smoothness of the engine is "jameen-asman" as the say in hindi.

Hmm the reason for chassis no. getting rust is that they are not coating the number with clear coat after stamping the number, tank might be catching rust due to the lighter gauge of sheet being used and that too non galvanised, recently i met a guy on a red light on cb trigger and i was on my rx100 he started inquiring me about my bike and i started asking him about his bike, he told me that he is just coming from the service station of Honda after getting changed his bikes engine valves, he was very disappointed with the bike engine and said he had ran only 300kms and the engine is already half opened.Iam not saying that every trigger or unicorn will have this problem or every bajaj bike is absolute perfect, but still there are lots of things which Honda should look into, like the ordinary switch gear, absence of cheap engine kill switch, rattling of body parts, and other its and bits. After all it's HONDA.
