I have few doubts. Pl clarify. I bought CB Trigger in Nov14, after reading this whole forum about trigger . My first doubt is, after riding, when I put side stand and park the vehicle, some liquid is flowing through overflow pipes (Which is located between two wheels). Is that normal...? Second question is how to wash my bike? Is there any special liquid available for bikes? (Though I waited for a month to clean it in first service, now its almost two months over )
    Hi Siva,

Please conside the below possibilities as well as I too had the same thing happening years back.

    1) Over flow of distilled water & acid mix from battery compartment. Recent top-up of battery fluid from service center may be the reason.

    2) Water accumulated in beneath the air filter compartment. This does not happen often and also there will be a lid covered to the overflow pipe.

      Folks,
Is the fuel tank in Trigger plastic or metal? Wanting to know to see whether a magnetic tankbag would fit or not?

why is the thread so dead ? not even unicorn 160 thread is alive !! i own a honda unicorn whicj luckily has good support !!

i think honda should wake up its time now before other companies take over its share in market !!!

it can be seen from xbhp itself that new products of honda are not able to compare with Naked and full faired bikes which people demand !

hope this message reaches honda !

i also own a cb trigger(cbs) and its been more than an year with it.

i really the bike as i have ridden it in variety of conditions from delhi's snail traffic to ripping highways, from butter smooth roads to roads that push your bike's suspension and your riding skills to limits...but got out unharmed.

my slowest (top speed) in 5th gear (without any hiccup from engine was 30 kmph (28 to be precise) and fastest was 112 kmph (sitting straight) and 117 kmph on empty highway(crouched...could've been 120 or 121 had not been a dumper in front me).

and i am using mobil-1 racing 4t (10w-40) engine oil....which really improved my bike performence and mileage (hovering close to 58...how its possible from 150cc...no clue) be it highway or city.

overall i liked every aspect of bike and i enjoy riding it and i feel that i made right choice...and of course significant help of xbhp'ians was there.

Have you seen the quality of material used on unicorn 160..???
Its no way near yamaha or suzuki. Decades old splendour feels much more solid than so called modern unicorn 160.

                      Folks...

Today I found a hole facing downwards in the Silencer near the footrest of the rider. Is it normal? Are your Triggers too having the hole in that place? Anyone know the purpose?

                      Regards,

I think it is for draining water that enter in to silencer during rain or any other conditions.

Experience : I have used this bike only for city limits as I already have CBR250R, I always thought that i would have an edge or little upgrade over my first lot Unicorn but it proved me wrong since the day I have brought this bike it has given me hell lot of problems first the dealer messed it up by giving me the wrong model then no number & to make matters worst I had to change the Block, reason there was a small cut inside the block because of which the smell from the silencer was bad & white smoke coming out, yes got it replaced under warranty and after 1 week another problem arises the bike would not pick up between 1k -2k RPM reason the mechanic had put the air filter in wrong position so there was no air flow. But all of this occurred under 12k total running & after 1.5 years of ownership. Not everyone would have faced these issues & I am not trying to say that it is a bad bike just sharing my experience. I've owned 3 Honda's may be this was in my destiny.
My query is how much does the bike run in reserve now this is a weird problem as my bike only travels 22 Kms to be precise?
                            Thank you

                              • Issue with Honda CB Trigger

                                Hi All,

I own a Honda CB Trigger which has run some 7000 kms till now. It feels very rough at times, even the gear shift. The entire engine note changes, heats up very quickly and considerable drag is felt. I couldn't figure out any specific pattern for the same till date. I have reported the issue to the Honda Service Centre but even after replacing cam shaft (twice), crankshaft, timing chain, timing chain tensioner, gear assembly & even carburetor nothing has changed.

During initial days some jealous moron had put sugar through the engine oil inlet since then i am having the same issue. I would be really happy if somebody figures out what could be the exact issue with the engine and guide me further.
