I have reported the issue to the Honda Service Centre but even after replacing cam shaft (twice), crankshaft, timing chain, timing chain tensioner, gear assembly & even carburetor nothing has changed.

During initial days some jealous moron had put sugar through the engine oil inlet since then i am having the same issue. I would be really happy if somebody figures out what could be the exact issue with the engine and guide me further.
better use 10w40 synthetic oil from shell advance.... the heating issues will be solved for some extend................

IMHO you will be better off with an engine/ (crankcase) flush.
Sugar on burning forms sticky carbon coating which is difficult to get rid of.

covered 20k KM(18 months) on my trigger . Generally happy with my bike. Recently done a 1200Km ride with a pillion(Kochi>>Nilambur>>Ooty>>Coimbatoor>>Pollach i>>Munnar> kollam) . Took quiet a bit of trashing on some of the worst roads I've ever rode on , but the Trigger held up quiet well .

There is a scratching sound while riding I think it is coming from chain . Tightened the chain recently , but the sound is still there. I guess its time to change the chain sprocket kit. Any one replaced sprocket kit recently ? Any idea how much it costs?

Not too impressed with the Head lights . Bright seems to be out of focus , quiet spread out.
Rear suspension softened out a little bit , at least i think so. (Or is it the result of my back getting used to it ? )
Rainy season is a mess. mainly due to water spraying on to the legs even while riding through wet roads. Does anyone else have this problem ?
Getting an average fuel efficiency of around 45-48 KMPL under normal riding conditions . While on "trash mode" it goes down to 40 to 42 KMPL.
Horrific experience at Honda ASC continues .
Rear MRF is a piece of trash really . fish tails even on the slightest provocation. Thinking about changing it to a better Tyre. Any recommendations?

how's fz's handle going with trigger? does that make you un comfortable during long rides?
stay away from all MRF's . All my previous experiences with them are bad .

My Trigger already covered 31000 kms, chain and sprocket is still in good condition. Chain lubrication on all Sundays, it may be a reason behind it. Already replaced back tyre, stock mrf 110/80 17 is not available, no more choices other than TVS. So converted it in to tube type and put a mrf 100/90 17 with tube. Fuel efficiency is around 55 in city and 60 in highways. Replaced air filter and sparkplug at 16000 km. In my opinion Local mechanic is more efficient than any authorized service technician so no more service center visit after free service. Using 10w30 TVS synthetic oil.

                .
Holy crap !! how did u manage that ? The best I could manage was 50 kmpl on highway. reserve to reserve .

Regarding mrf 110/80 17 i am sure i've seen one in a near by mrf dealer . I prefer ceat or michelin but not sure if they have the right size .

I have a question regarding tyres, stuck with two tyres 12/80-17 ceat or michelin pilot sport 120/80-17?
or should upsize the the tyre further more to avoid fishtails...

I have read somewhere you can upgrade one step greater ie, 110/80-17 to 120/80-17 but not more than that. My experience with the stock MRF is not very pleasant.
Both the tyres you have mentioned are really good. I'd prefer Ceat or Mich over MRF anyday .

                      hello friends,

I own a honda trigger CBS 2014 model and mileage is around 48-50 @ 50-55 kmph in delhi traffic.
so is it good or bad.
its been almost an year and half and coverd close to 12000 kms on my bike including rides @ speeds around 117-122 kmph.
please suggest ways to improve my bike's fuel efficiency.
                      thanks.

What you can do is keep harassing the dealer that you want it at any cost and give him an example that X dealer in Hyderabad has it in stock.

                      To all,
I am a bit confused here, are there 2 wires on the Nissin caliper for DLX version as well? Because the STD has only 1 whereas CBS has 2 wires. An image of DLX and CBS brakes would be more helpful.
                      hey,
i have trigger cbs modeland yes it has 2 wires.

Having tough time selecting a bike and looking for experts’ opinion? Then this is the place for you...

                      thnx.

2 piston changes in 19000 kms! is it a typing mistake insted of 190000 kms?

Yes 2 I have mentioned earlier in this Owners Thread, the first 1 was 12000 because of piston change the second again same but I think second resulted in the SVC not changing oil, now I am on my 3rd piston but I am happy as I am getting 57 kmpl but that is because I hardly rev high in the city not exceeding 60 as I have CBR 250R for it but I would not suggest anyone to buy it as I loved Unicorn, something is wrong with Honda they cannot make a Unicorn again.

Seems to me that you hate your bike and do not take proper care.
                              No hard feelings.
And still getting a mileage of 57 kmpl.
Even with 2 piston changes, now either you are bluffing or scenario below might have happened.
You might want to check your bike again and especially engine number maybe people at honda swapped your 150cc engine with 125cc block. (as they look similar)

My Trigger already covered 38000 kms, Not touched The engine, still getting 60 kms in highway and 53 in rural roads. Recently Cleaned oil filter at 35000 kms, lot of dirty particles found in oil filter. Owners manual says about cleaning of oil filter at 10000 kms, but svc shouldn't do it. Chain and sprocket is also the stock one, hope it can run up to 40000 kms.
