Keep us updated. I'm facing this issue too. The guys are Kirti Nagar SC refused to acknowledge this problem of mine as I am not able to replicate it consistently.

But my entire electrical wiring is up for change. A wire somewhere is broken and is causing the console to reset every now and then. Waiting for the replacement to arrive from the factory.

AmitRavi01, social, I am also facing this issue since last week. But it occurs very rarely. Basically what happens is that if I close the throttle and engage clutch when decelerating the bike just shuts down. It immediately starts and there is no other problem with accelerations or running.

Guys who are facing this problem of engine shutting down while decelerating (changing gears) could it be because you need to be in higher revs for that particular gear, i might be wrong here, but i always rev the bike on higher side, for ex: i use 5th gear only after 65 to 70km/h and 6th only once it's nearing 100km/h...not even once did i have this problem. After reading so many experiences here i thought i will be facing the same issue, but so far i havent.

I got my bike yesterday, and have since ridden for approx 100 kms. From this short stint, I can say that the issue is almost negligible (I faced only a single instance during this ride and this may have been more because of my error than bike). The svc engineer changed the sparked plug as mine was shorted and tightened a shaft (he said some shaft, not exactly sure which shaft).

The problem is not while up-shifting gears, but while decelerating and down-shifting. I think a certain batch had this problem, that is why all are not facing this problem.

straps or brackets that are supposed to hold the wires intact are gone. i tried to put them back but it has lost elasticity.

the strap on the handle bar is also gone. left 1 is there, but right side gone.
You can use cable ties as the straps break off easily.

i cleaned chain as told before using diesel. lubed with gear oil 90 grade ( Rs 230/ lt). my review about this oil, use it if you can lube it everyday. yes, i mean it. after a day's ride of 70 kms, chain was dry and i had to lube it again. but this oil is very easy to clean up from rims. used a bit of armour al heavy duty shampoo and oil and dirt was gone from rims...
Try using motul chain lube after cleaning it with diesel. I do the same and looks cleaner. Motul does not tend to lump up as OKS.

tried to remove the chain cover but the one in pic wont come out. the space is inadequate for it to come out. the ring spanner needs to be used from down, but after unscrewing it wont come out as it hits the alloy straight. how many noted this? or is it only my bike's misalignment?
its the same with duke 200 also. I have also not been able to remove the screw till date. you can open up the cover and fold it towards our-self so we can see the chain and clean it.

bike is tough to clean up. i was totally surprised when i applied some sealant and wax. the white cloth was slightly orange after applying on rims. it does not take intelligence to say, paint quality is below average. after a year im thinking of getting it a good paint job, something like car's metallic paint.
see the mess in this area below front sprocket. i think only thing that will do the job is some hard wheel cleaners / tar remover which will clean after spraying followed by water .
You can use a paint brush and diesel and it will be cleaner than you think. You can do a water wash after that.

359 kms on odo and the chain has already begin to slack. Is it normal?

Very much normal. Ask a SVC to tighten it correctly. Let them not flood the chain with chain lube ( the mistake that happened to me)

I noticed the same thing on my bike today. The lines are faint after 9.5K; however, I have reached 155Kmph in the 5th gear on my bike. I have crossed 160Kmph few times in the 6th gear. I've never noticed the RMP reading at those sppeds though! :/

Can anyone else confirm if the lines are faint after 9.5K RPM on their bike as well?

Bikes which have more torque and on the usual need slacks adjusted, because it puts tremendous strain on those chains. It's completely normal, you can get it tightened and you're good for another 500 to 1000 KMS. New bikes some come a little loose due to checking etc, but it happens, and it's not to worry.

Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Got it. I'll have them check the spark plug, as well as the fuel filter even I go in for the wiring replacement. Also have them check the entire clutch thing.

Also this morning I got a call saying that bajaj is hosting some feedback session somewhere in East of Kailash on Saturday 11.30 am. Did anyone else get an invite?

Does anyone know of a good paddock stand for duke .
Honestly I don't want to spend so much for a KTM logo.

Also are there any stock Off-road tyres for Duke rims?

Yep, it does grayed out a bit after 9.5K on RPM meter.

Yeah, I think this is the case with all the bikes. I did rev it hard yesterday and the RPM bar does cross 9.5K. From 9.5K to 10.5K it is grayed out.
