        Hey Bro,
Only 10-20% or a maximum of 30% people are facing these problems but compared to your mini VFR named as CBR its pretty much better in lots of areas and value for money also.
CBR also had its share of problems on launch also.

+1 on that. What's with all the negativity man... Duke 390 is an awesome bike. Am not asking you to buy it or anything. But saying 390 is a waste is a ballsy move. I have a friend Abi near my home who has a CBR 250. He has spend almost 40000 on his bike till date. It has done around 25000kms. What do you have to say about that. You see for every model bikes some of them will have some niggles. But the ones in 390 has occurred in very few bikes. So if u want CBR, buy CBR. If u want duke, buy duke.

Also have a look at cbr250 group, there are many members who are cursing there bike and saying they would never buy honda again...!
Every bike has its share of problems, some have less some have more but there's no bike that will be without any problems.

You said that you lost your interest in 390 because so many members are complaining about there bike, but you forgot the fact there so many guys enjoying there duke without any problems and they never come to the forum.
I would say test ride both of the bike n then decide which one's better for you. I know bajaj service is not upto the mark buy trust me honda is no better in this regard.

              Buddy, its true I have faced some issues, but, till now I have got fantastic support from svc guys. When going for any bike you need to keep in mind that no bikes are without any flaws, absolutely none. The best thing to ensure is whether the bike has good after sales and trust me saving a few svc, KTM does a very good job of attending to any issues with their bike. I am sure my niggle will be taken care of when I get to visit the svc;

I read somewhere that KTM is planning to start a scheme for road side assistance for 390 customers. Not sure about the credibility. But if it were true it would have been really cool .there was something about the assistance being at 100 km radius of every service centre.

                    Guys need help.

When bike is producing khat khat sound while driving, specially at slow speed 10-20 (or may be I'm able to hear it at slow speed only). Even when bike is off and I push it forward then also I can hear khat khat sound but when I'm pushing it backward there is no sound.
Have you guys faced this issue or know why this is happening ?

Get the chain cleaned, Lubed and adjusted. It should go away. Unless it is approaching end of life.

Motorcycle ownership experiences thread is a place where you type your problems and find a solution. Most people dont type anything here when they are madly enjoying their bikes. Thats why if you visit threads of other bikes, you'd find something similar. And that's why you probably have no idea how many more owners are super contented with their 390.

@ biking bug I'd love to let you guys know that, ownership threads is all about hands on practical ownership reviews. It isn't biased towards an x manufacturer bike being inferior than a y manufacturer bike, vice versa.

If you have such opinions to make, then make sure you make it subtle not "KTM is waste" and such sentences. All these childish posts look gibberish and doesn't flow well with the forum etiquette.

Please don't repeat or indulge in biased posts, such posts will be scrutinized by the moderators and appropriate steps will be taken.

                              Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                              The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                              THE END
