Will the warranty be void if we service the bike ourselves?? I have used up the free services. Am intending to service it myself i.e., oil change, oil filter change, coolant top up, check for chain slack, adjust, clean n lubricate and reset the odo. This is what even the service centre guys do. My bike has run 6k kms.

      Any help would be appreciated.
I had the same issue .. i took to the service center for geral check-up before my long ride . They told the part just below the console was bit loose and they tighted it up. And now no issues ...

      Thanks

Yeah, it does sound like something is loose. Will get it checked. Thanks for the insight.

yes, your warranty will be void if all the free and paid services are not done at the svc.
after the warranty period, you can go ahead and perform the service yourself and go to the svc for major issues/parts replacement.

Thanks for the reply. Will leave the bike at SVC then. I have one more query. The 2nd service was the 1st service as the time for 1st service had elapsed, will the warranty be void in this case too??

most likely not. i've seen n heard of people not being able to get the bike serviced within the specified 'days' limit and the svc simply uses the next coupon and lose one 'free' service... warranty stays intact. Normally if its just the days that have elapsed with the 'km' reading being below (or around) the recommended schedule, then you most likely shouldn't have any problems.

Well I just got a call from Sanjeev Prajapati of Kanchan Auto Pvt.Ltd. Kanjurmarg East, informing me that my motorcycle is ready for delivery. Since I can't go before the afternoon he volunteered to send me pics of the de-stickered machine on whatsapp.

Seems like a good guy, this Sanjeev. Wanted to ask for opinions/experiences with Kanchan Auto in terms of service quality and experience. Any information is welcome and appreciated.

                Thanks

                  She is here.
Allow me some very preliminary and noobish commentary.

The damn thing looks miles better without the stickering. I went through 3 of the PDI's shared here and everything was ship-shape. Its loud and vibey but I never felt uncomfortable with them. Once I learnt the relaxed crouch on the ride home I could hardly feel it. Aural signature is loud but I discerned no rattles or unusual sounds but my ears are essentially novice equipment in this case. It gets bassy when I open the throttle. Speaking of the throttle, its incredibly sensitive. Took me a minute to modulate my inputs. A scary minute it was too.

It ran at an average of 23.5 Kmph on the ride from the showroom to Sakinaka. Now I know I am a noob but I don't need a trip computer to tell me. I stalled it twice but that was my fault. Even at low RPM and the first 3 gears it ran snatch free and the fueling was quite smooth even with my unmodulated inputs. I was glad I was wearing the helmet as bikers at the signals around me would have seen all of my teeth with the mildly crazed grin I was wearing.

Kanchan Auto has been quite alright with my purchase. The sales guy (Siddharth) spent time with me going through the PDI, explained the software on the TC and was helpful in general.

                  Cheerz

PS. That fugly metal bracket front number plate though..................

Congrats buddy, just curious.. Do we have the option of getting the bike de-stickered? And the stickers can be pasted later on?

Congrats! For the front number plate you can bend it from the ends to make it less repelling.. And do you have any plans for installing a tail tidy? It just look awesome with one. Wish you many happy miles on the beast

Thanks Angry. Yes, Sanjeev from Kanchan Auto had the stickers removed. Even down to cutting the tank extension sticker to leave the orange "Duke" on it. I didn;t ask the cost of re-stickering but I am quite certain it is possible. The number plate is not metal FYI. Its some kind of polymer/plastic. Lastly, I am not yet certain about the tail tidy. If I get one, I will retain the hugger or vice versa i.e keep the tail as is and remove the hugger.

                            Hi guys,

For those of you who have fitted the Fazer windscreen onto the Duke, can you'll let me know what modifications were needed?

I picked up the windscreen thinking it would be a direct fit (I read it on some online forum), but when I tried to fix it, the screw holes don't match. Also my mechanic said that it's no use drilling holes as I'd have to do it on the curved part of the screen which wont make it effective.

                            Can you'll please advise?

                            Thanks,
                            Nathan

Check out SZ/SZ-R windscreen, its a perfect fit (just need to drill two holes for the second pair of screws, since stock holes on the visor is not at the same position).

I am informed by Kanchan Auto that there is no longer a printed owner's manual provided along with the 390.
Sanjeev tells me they are replacing it in a few weeks with an app. Anyone else faced this recently?
I understand going green means not using marked slices of tree to pass on information. I downloaded one though.
Just curious if this has been any other dealer's position.
