How much is the cost and does the service center fit it for you?
One of the KTM showrooms in Cochin is doing the retrofit and costs around 8.5k

Even I am feeling the same the rear brakes are not stopping the bike as expected. At high speeds this is a big problem.

Are these brakes fit for 390(2015)? As my cousin is coming from US I want to order them. Please help me.

Again facing overheating issue. I have changed fan assembly once and thermostats twice at 7.5k kms. Odo is now 12.3k kms and most dangerous part is bike shuts off in the middle of the traffic all of a sudden and then if i try to start it shows high coolant temperature and really bike become insanely hot even you can cook chapattis over there. I have attached pic here. Click image for larger version

Does the coolant level look good in the expansion tank when you observed this warning? Was the coolant level in the reservoir low, middle or in the high mark? Secondly, did you hear any strange purring noise before the engine switched off? Was the fan running or not?

                  Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                  The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                  THE END

Do you hear the radiator fan start at 8 bars? Seems like the radiator assembly may not be working properly. Get that checked ASAP

Bike was serviced four days back and coolant level was at prescribed level. I was at traffic signal and before that I was riding through mild traffic, when traffic signal got green I started the bike and bike started but after going around 50 meters bike stalled, mid was on but when i started it again it displayed high coolant temperature and i had to wait around 10-12 minutes to start bike again.

Hii, I'm also getting my Duke 390 on Dec 15 which I booked on Nov 15. May I know which city ur in?
Btw I've been preparing all accessories & pdi lists myself the past month. Here is my list-
                          1. ODO reading ( KTM won't do extensive test run as many dealers say. I got the bike with 5km on the ODO)
Note:*Check the VIN No. to check if it's 2015 batch,

                          2. Chain slack and lubrication as most of us got chains dry like desert sand.
                          3. paint job for any scratches.
                          4. All the connectors that's visible (There is one under the seat for plugging the diagnostic device and should be left unconnected).
                          5. The reflector (crack)at the tail end and the whole fender assembly for excessive shaking.
                          6. Switches and controls for smooth operation and desired result.
                          7. Brake and clutch and gear lever play.
                          8. Check all bolts and the oil level.
                          9. The coolant level. (In my case, it was at the minimum level)
                          10. Closely check all plastic parts for any breakage as its quite possible to happen in transit or during unloading or from over aggressive PDI by the dealer.
                          11. Check the tool kit, FA kit and remember to collect user manual.
                          12. Download the user manual online from KTM website and go through it well before going to the dealer for delivery.
                          13. Check the fuel level and refuel at the earliest (Keep in mind the octane ratings, 91 minimum).
                          14. Ride out before the KTM guys say ''get out''. I am one among them who got to hear congrats (I watered my eyes),
                          Check for fork boots
                          15. Check for the standard knuckle guards (They usually remove them while transporting)
                          16. Check the brake oil level (The front one might not be visible as generally they fill it up to the top...)
                          17. Check for any scratches or cracks on the rims
                          18. Check the handle alignment
                          19. Check the tyre pressure (The default one is too high.. my bike had 37 at rear and 33 at front)

Anybody here knows how is this exhaust with the DB KILLER for Duke 390? Is it too loud or decent? I don't want to wake up my neighbours or disturb my office.
