Yes this shows that the engine has become more efficient .Mainly because of higher compression and silencer work the avg is at stock level.

As for the plug, last time I hurt my finger while removing it. This time I'll wear some gloves, take out the plug&send you the pic over the weekend.
Bike has done some 150-200kms. since the carb setting.
    Sure thing bro!!

Hahahhha nano buddy ,i could have pushed it over 60 kmpl on an avg, cause once i got 66 kmpl.Of course i was mindful of mileage check and so was easy on the right wrist. But i am sure when taken on the highway it will definitely give even more. The plug color is dark and black.Which shows that it will give even more on highways.

    • I am jealous. 58kmpl from an 195cc engine

Was it all downhill by any chance ? or Instead of going to gym , did you push the bike say 20-25kms & calculated the mileage

I think Gixxer also has a pedal attached and use the bike Pedaling as his workout

Yeah sure that's why he takes her out on night times to check mileage so that nobody sees the pedals attached

Or maybe ties it to the back of a SBK to pull...

No thanks, i'll leave such heavy weight pulling SBK's to Abhi Sbk with such power? Kunju Rani? maybe? perhaps for our Abhi? I will be happy to have a SBK like Rathi and i'd do all the pushing ,thank you very much.

It is not easy to do the kind of mods you have done to the engine,&Carb and still get awesome FE and performance. It shows your perseverance, application, and thoroughness of your approach.....Happy to say I did Learn a lot from you.

Not really ,the mileage was sort of a side-affect It surely is a pleasant one though I had always knew it was giving good avg, right since day 1 of the big-bore modification. But i had waited this long to check it as i wanted the modifications to stabilise a bit. Now,other than the bend-pipe nothing remains,so i checked it. Reading the same experiences from other compression increase modifications,i am not too surprised. It mainly is because of :-
                  1. Higher compression.
                  2. Increase in torque due to increase in cc.
                  3. TCI
                  4. Exhaust being freed up.
                  5. A really well tuned carb i must say.

                    • Hello guys, just wanted to share my first time experience of a proper dirt bike and ATV ride.

I went to this adventure club yesterday, there were some ATV's and MX bikes they had, to be ridden around a uphill/downhill dirt loop.

I first tried this Polaris Sportsman 700 (that's 700cc), well i expected the term 700 to be nerve thrilling.
But to be honest, it was very difficult for me to keep it in line, this thing is really really powerful, but you cannot get a hang of it for the first time, i spun out of control (even in 3rd gear) while climbing up the hill.
Probably because it has 4 wheels, you need to actually steer it all the way hitting the handle at extreme angles.

whenever it used to slow down a bit too much, i used to almost get off this 4 footer and keep my leg down. like we do on bikes.

The marshals there were having a tough time pushing to keep me on the track.

But atleast i got to know the track for the next event.
                      Now came a 05 Honda CR 250 R.
It was a 250 cc 2 stroke single, it has a whooping 60 bhp (too much for a 250) and 51 Nm of torque.

I've never seen a bike taller than this, and have never seen a bigger rear sprocket ever in my life.
I was literally scared to get onto it, you cannot keep both legs on the ground at the same time even if your 5 10.

I took a trial run on marble floor, and i lost all my confidence, as it felt like i am riding a boat.

But as soon as hit the track, it WOW.
This bike is one of a kind, its the most fun you can ever have on 2 wheels.
You won't believe how AMAZINGLY the suspension works.
See a 1 feet taller stone on the road, don't avoid it, get over it, you can do it with ease.

It was very very difficult to keep the front wheel on the ground in the first 2 gears.
After like say 2 ~ 3 laps, my confidence grew, then i started to push harder.

Its actually easy to ride this bike, it terribly responsive and with my weight it would fly (literally) at the end of that uphill.
1 more thing, Its much easier to ride this standing on the foot-pegs, then sitting down on the seat.

It had a very hard clutch and very flat handlebar, you being soo high above the ground, and putting your entire weight on the handlebar, its painful for the hands.

Another thing learnt at the end of 5 ~ 6 laps is, that you need to balance this thing when its airborne (and it gets airborne before you know it).
As confidence grew, i used to push the throttle hard in 2nd gear or third all the way to the uphill, the front wouldn't touch the ground at all at the finish of the uphill.
Its anyways difficult to judge if the wheel is actually on the ground as you are soo high above and still have a foot of suspension travel.

The only time when the bike literally almost stood vertical, i realized the rear wheel also came off.
The lesson learnt was that once vertical, you can push the front to settle down and have a flat landing.
Its much much easier than it sounds like.

                      After say 8 ~ 9 laps, i felt like a dirt racer.
Its real FUN you can ever have on two wheels ( i can say this like a 1000 times).

I was a good show off, my laps and time was over, but still i was allowed to almost double the time as i was attracting a lot of attention.
                      Good for their business.
But this thing is a hell of a workout, your entire body starts giving up.

Be it drifting, wheelie, jumping on 2 wheels, if you have never done any of these ever, you can do it very well on this bike.

Sadly there was no RPM meter or speedometer to see how fast of slow i was, but even if it would have been, i don't think i would have time to look at it.

1 suggestion to all my pals here.
If in case you guys ever get a chance to ride a MX bike.
Grab that opportunity with your hands, legs, arms, shoulders and neck.
Nut this thing cannot be ridden on the roads.

It was difficult to sit back on the fiero again while coming back.
Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.

Lol, I'm also pretty surprised-even after carb tuning, my bike is still giving 42-43kmpl. I calculated this time with R-R&found exactly 42kmpl!

                          • Guys, i posted on this thread a few months back about reboring the engine.
i have a 2001 fiero and it has done close to 95000kms.
Engine rebored and i have done the 1000kms run in also.now the bike pick up is very good and also it easily touches 120km/hr(speedo read).
                            But still following problem persists:
1.Inspite of changing to a new chain and sprocket set, whenever i slowdown and accelerate,i get some kurr kurr sound..

2.I am feeling almost all the bumps in the road,Rear shocks is a new one. So is it the problem with the front shocks? should i change it to a new one? how much will it cost?

3.Engine sounds very noisy and stressed in speeds above 90....I guess fiero was much more silent before, even when it touches 120.

Whenever i ride this bike,i have a feeling that its not firmly planted on the road.Is it because of the front forks? or is it because i am riding pulsar 200 for long time(which is front heavy).

I would like a stock RXZ, but its tough to get&even tougher to maintain-you know that better than me.
As for the tag line, my bikes are drinking more petrol with increasing costs!
Another implication is I'm hungry to tour again!
Waiting to get new rubber on my R15.
