What about the side deflectors? will apache's or any other new bike's deflectors can be fitted without any modification?
Any other alternatives with fairing for the headlight assembly?
and what is brackets? (sorry for my ignorance)

Side deflectors,i donno, you can try the RTR ones ,but not sure whether it's a direct fit.If you want those then they might need some minor welding works that's all.Originally posted by rock18 View PostHey thanks a lot dude..

Fairing alternatives? You can go for any bike's you want,RTR,Unicorn etc.It will need some modifications of course.Brackets are the clamps which hold the fairing/headlight dome.Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

Hi guys.
Checked the prices of tyres around & found that Michelin Sirac street 2.75x18 & 3.00x18 costs 1750/- & 1950/- respectively Including tubes & other ceat/dunlop costs about 200-250 rs less & so I have decided to go with michelin since thier isn't much difference in price but it surely does in quality & grip..
Checked about putting the button 2.75x18 in to rear & I was clearly said NO by not one or two but by three reputed tyre dealers in Bangalore & thus decided to go for 3.00x18 for rear for now & lug around with buttons in front.sigpicAll India Permit 1+1

I say, get M45 for the front&feel the difference!
Btw, the carbon fibre stickers that we got are on the bikes now, mostly on R15. They are looking damn good. I put a little on F2 also&it turned out very nice.
@gixxer_junkie_m: Idling setting finally achieved. Mileage is also returning to normal.
Suspension parts have not arrived. Moreover I'm too busy decking up R15. Poser saala!

Guys, is R15 V2.0 worth buying?
I assume that the resale value of older r15 will go down after this bike is launched, I got like 3-4 used R15 offers within a week.
Is it a sensible thing to go for another bike ?
Of course keeping the fiero as it as ?Giving a lot to a fiero.
Expecting a lot from a fiero.

The old batch of R 15 were good and had less problem than the recent ones. The old one are available from 65 k onwards ....but the CBR 250 coming out now is a better buy..Wait for Pulsar 4 valves 220,which is supposed to be a very good VFM bike....and a totally re-engineered engine. There are many 200 to 250 cc bikes slated for release in the next 6 months...Better to wait. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

I don't wish to buy a brand new bike RIGHT NOW
BECAUSE:-
Considering the current scenario.
I've already spent a fortune on my current machine.
I've made it good, and even great in some way or the other.
Now the thing is, No matter how much you work on it, it still is OLD !!
I need to open up the entire engine and re-assemble every part (overhaul) as there is too much of oil leakage from all the places.
2ndly I need to work on the brakes (both of them) and its not the pads i am talking about.
The brakes have become less responsive, the rear is dead at times and brilliant other times (spring is perfect though) and the front is very hard.
Feels like one's trying to bend a piece of rock.
3rdly All the 4 suspensions have given up, it feels like a bicycle on the road
4thly Need to change both the rims and ofcource install new rubber on both.
5thly the plastic all over the place dances (as suspensions are F***ed up) so need to replace all the plastic panels including the front mud guard.
Not to mention the minor clutch issues and maybe a frozen piston ring and henceforth.
So all and all here, me being someone who cannot accept sub-par equipment, need tremendous amount of cash and time to do all this.
Now even if all these things are done, what can i expect from this bike literally ?
20k at the max ??
Maybe less say 15k as its not in stock condition !
I might spend more than this amount to re-do all this.
If in case i do buy say an R15 (old batch) in maybe say 70k.
withing six months or a year from now I'll buy a real nice bike.
If i sell that R15 instead, can i expect say upto 55 to 60k ?
So literally in say 10~15k i can actually use a new bike for a matter of 6~8 months, which say is not sub par like this one is today, besides i wouldn't even be riding this one more if the new one comes in, so i am not even further depreciating the existing product (which is priceless)
.
Considering all this, i think it makes more sense to not work on the machine at this moment.
However in a loop, still use that same amount of money on an on-par equipment to be used until a new one has to be bought.
Hence considering all these and asking you guys about it.
Not an air-conditioner though.Originally posted by velociraptor13 View Posti agree with psr,i suggest u wait for the 4 valver 220.The present one is good, the new one should be even better.

But of cource i would do something which i feel is needed, on anything i ever ride
Sure, if the break is long enough to normalize after the after-effect.Originally posted by abhilashabhi12 View PostOr a small fridge to have a chilled beer on a break on Highway

If Pulsar 4 valve 220 is priced at 1 L, will you ever stop kicking yourself for deciding on a used bike at 70K ?Originally posted by NANOtechnology View Post

Bajaj is doing some aggressive pricing of their products...look at the Boxer 150cc..and it's pricing at less than 50 K....it is an indication of things to come. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

I won't-till I get the camchain&tensioner etc. replaced. If possible I wanna get a carb tuning done with CO machine, valve clearance has never been checked in its lifetime yet. Wonder why no one is ready to do these!Originally posted by gixxer_junkie_m View PostGood thing now don't tamper with it
Why rey-even R1s have CF accessories on them. I'll post pics later-hope you like it. Btw, some of the stuff went onto the F2 also.I knew it the moment you bought the sticker! Freakin converting a thoroughbred to a poser!!

Sorry for this, but I think your Fiero is done for. The more you keep it, the more you'll end up spending on it. I think you should sell it, take whatever you get&buy a new bike. No 2nd hands. Reasons already mentioned by psr.Originally posted by NANOtechnology View PostGuys, is R15 V2.0 worth buying?

R15 V1 or V2 is a cornering&high revving enthusiast's paradise. Go for it if you like it, else wait for the newer bikes, like everyone else is.
I know-now the whole thing is used up. I may need some more in the future if these come off. But they are very good quality.Originally posted by abhilashabhi12 View PostMan that stickers.. You know how did we bargain & that guy was not even ready to give a tiny bit extra
I hope they get KTM parts onto them-the only issue with Bajaj is sub standard in terms of reliability. If they can solve that issue, people will not run after the Japs anymore!Originally posted by psr View PostIf Pulsar 4 valve 220 is priced at 1 L, will you ever stop kicking yourself for deciding on a used bike at 70K ?

3-DC lighting-thats the only reason for me not going for the rtr
