Finally I managed to change my bike's tyres today, changed both front & rear to MIcheli Sirac Street 2.75 & 3.00 x 18 Respectively.. the prices have been going up & it costed me 3600rs for both tyre & tube, managed to sell both my old tyres for 500rs thier itself.

On the way back home met Gixxer & discussed about his plans of putting oil cooler in Fiero, also set my rear shock adjustments to soft since it was kept in full hard & it was taking a toll on my back for a long time..

Now all you guys don't be surprised If Gixxer comes up with radical modifications on his bike in the coming days since now that he has got to know of famous Junk yard of Bangalore, the Shivajinagar for Spare parts at fraction of cost

The tyres look awesome man! I will leave the opinion on the combination to tyre-guru. Sarvajit owes you a party as you did what he asked you to do!! With your hard-core bargaining skills i'm surprised that you ended paying so much.

Coming to shox, what was it that you were asking me? adjusting one shox to softest is enough?(other was at the hardest setting) Bro i just saved you 3.5k today!! rem that!! You were complaining that the shox needed replacement and all it needed was a setting change!

Talking about junkyards, who was the one who's planning on buying a RTR bore kit from there?

@All yes i have bought a used oil cooler of the P200 with hoses for 500 bucks, the whole thing comes to around 2k plus at showroom i think. There was a p220 one too with 4 rows ,but i didn't go for it as it might have reduced oil flow pressure still further and it was a bit bent as well.

You know if the difference of price wouldnt have been as low as 200-300 I would have gone for MRF/Ceat, but now that MIchelins costs almost the same why go for something which Isnt as good as michelins..

Coming to Shox - thanks to bird watching around your house & the High revving machine we saw just before we came down, My mind was not back to its original state , All the time I asked mech he said it is set at max & it was at hard not soft . Jesus It sure did some help as of now, but I will know complete effect tomorrow once I take the road to office where the great humps & pot holes are

Yeah If I can get a RTR 180 Borekit for fraction of cost from Junk yard why not, anyways you are with me to check on the internals to make sure we pick the right one for the amount we pay.

Lastly about Bargaining, Man this is like Monopoly, thier are hardly any Michelin dealers for 2 wheeled tyres & thus it wasn't possible to get them down as much as I want to be

Good luck with your Oil Cooler thing, looks like you are planning a mega ride in peak summer & want your fiero to keep it cool for a longer duration of time

High revving machine indeed, she had a good wide chassis.
Tyre prices are scaring me man!!Maybe next time we should plan something and buy them in bulk, like 2 to 3 guys together, so that we can get em for less.
Now that you saw the fiero crank case provision for a oil cooler addition, aren't you impressed by suzuki engineers?Dude ,just keep your bike and we'll go and buy a used RTR bore kit sometime. So that you can keep the stock bore too and increase your girl's screaming capacity to 180cc's .

Dude don't even think of trading your bike! You haven't even seen what she's capable of! Imagine ,this engine was designed with lot of foresight. So even today TVS is modifying it and using it,like i said before ,i wouldn't be surprised if the next RTR comes with a oil-cooler.
My bike doesn't need a oil-cooler,it's cooling is not a issue. It's just my urge to keep on upgrading her which makes me think of these things.

Lets see bro what all things I can manage, I dont want to go to extreme ends of moding, but just that I want it to make better & can keep running all day at 85kmph on an open highway & return decent mileage, I will be a happy man

Let's go to shivajinagar and look around ,i need a brake pedal as the present set up is more of a cosmetic one to assure others that there's indeed a rear brake. Then i am thinking of RTR gear lever assembly,so we'll go there and check things out.

                      • guyz since over a week my F2 has started givin me some problems...
its a starting problem, and happens when the bike is been started for the 1st time of the day.. I always use the choke for early morning starts for about 15secs, then i keep it for idling for another 15secs.. everything is fine upto this point. but the moment i increase the accelerator to about 3000rpm, the engine burbles and then it stops. then i kick start it, without the acc, it starts again. so to stop it from burbling and finally stopping again, i have to keep the engine rpm to about 2.5 to 2.8k rpm for almost 30 to 40secs for this problem to go off.. during this process, i can hear the engine burbling and the rpm goin above and below the 2.5k mark, and then finally it becomes normal... What could be the problem??

I guess its the faulty tuning. Your pilot jet will not be supplying optimum fuel for cold starts.

Good that you went for Michelin.
If you look at the site, the front Sirac Street tyre has a softer rubber compound than the rear one, so you can't really go wrong.
But I reiterate-M45 is the best front tyre I have ever experienced on a bike.
Sirac Street should last you longer, I guess.
                            All in all, good job!

Tyre shop guys are obstinate these days.
In any case, he managed to make 500 off the old tyres, so it still worked out to 3K, like I expected.
Either ways, he is the one that owes me a treat!

My R15's rim has been repaired by the hydraulic press guy for Rs.100&all the other stickered parts have been given for clearcoating.
Fiero's cracked mudguard&dome are also being renewed, but the overall price is steep for the paint job. No more details.

Thanks dude, M45 is super soft compound, My daily commute has lot of potholed roads & not so good surface so decided against it & also in the Sirac stret for front, the sidewalls are soft compound & thus should take care In case I plan to cornering sometimes during rides on hills

Yeah all in all 3k is worth it, Have run approx 50kms today & I am feeling much confident now in braking & grip.
