Bro ,go to my album and see the pics of my bike.It has the stock front fender clamp with pulsar/caliber/CT100 front fender. It has 4 bolts fitted and it fits without any issues. So get it done.[/QUOTE]

    Gixxer Bro,
    Thanks for your answer.
I mean the four screw bolts that are fitted on the top of the fender to hold the brace in place. The models you mentioned do not have them. Should I go about without the screws? will it be stable enough?
Take a look at my attachment. Image taken after a long dusty ride.

Lets see if someday I can be in Bang to take a small ride on your big bore Fiero.
      Sure thing,You're welcome.
The other modification you can also go for along with the big bore is that of going for the RTR180 TCI unit and it's ignition coil. The TCI unit is green in color for the 180 and it's cheap,it costs 700 bucks and another 350 or so for the ignition coil. What it'll give is a better spark, mapping and most importantly it doesn't have a rev-limiter

The bike doesn't drink the oil anymore, actually i got the plug cleaned and i checked the same after 500 kms, there was no unusual oil detonation problem.
The bike drains oil though, its somewhere around the front sprocket.
I got the oil seal changed still it drains a lot of oil.

the only way to get rid of it is to avoid using side stands, i kept my bike on the main stand for almost a month, and after re-checking the oil level it was constant.

So it makes this thing sure that it draining, not drinking.
I've tried almost everything, still keeps draining...

I may have not let you guys know, but I've removed the alternator, the bike is running rtr's coil with rtr's wiring and regulator.

Now a days i have an urge to take the bike to the track.....
Keep topping-up the oil. You did the right thing in removing the alternator, based on mechanical and performance point of view i think. How's the clutch slippage issue?
About the urge to take her to a track Try putting the handle USD,you'll feel like you're on a drag/track prepped bike I have ridden abhi's bike which has the FZ handle,in my opinion even that's too high and you just like my bike have rear-sets which would make the FZ handle feel even more higher. So put it USD ASAP.If you're interested in doing that let us know.It will need straightening to not to come in contact with the tank on lock to lock steering.

Chief ,forget those bolts on top and get the pulsar(classic,dtsi/caliber/CT100) fender fitted to the stock clamp where it fits the fork legs(4 bolts,2 on each fork-leg).That's it.Nothing else needs changing.

      • Is the ignition coil of 180 a direct fit on Apache 150? Am running it on a 180 bore and tci... Will I get a good improvement with 180 ignition coil?

No,the ignition coil is the same,so it won't make any difference.

Wait till a higher capacity TVS bike comes out, because the ignition type is IDI,that is inductive discharge ignition. Most of the high performance coils you might find in the market might be of CDI type. What you already have on your bike is a good system till recent found only on high performance bikes(R1,GSXR 1000 etc) till TVS came out with it for the apache. Then R15 and the cbr250r also came with em.

Thanks Gixxer bro ... CT100 fender sounds good. When I spoke to the mechs, they were confuesed with the bolts on top. I guess it just means removing the bolts and fitting the new fender the stock brace / clamp without the screws (bolts).
It's just a matter of Plastic quality. The Fiero fender I put after the original one ... did not have quality plastic. The plastic should be thick and flexible like the original one. The one I put looked ok but turned out to be brittle and ended up breaking in just a couple of months. Well I have managed to drill two holes on each side the bind the fender with a metal wire. It will hold for a while and give me time to look around for a new fender. Thanks

Bro,fit the pulsar/ct100 fender to the stock clamp itself where it fits the fork leg. That is the pulsar/ct100 fender will have 2 holes on each side to fit the clamp and it's the same place where the clamp's bolts will be fitted to the fork legs.
So the bolts on each side is common(same ones/same place) for both the clamp and fender.

The bite's there now dude and all it needs is some more bleeding. That's all and it's got nothing to do with the lever/master cylinder being of a different bike. The key word here is 'bleeding'.

Are you going to replace only the RHS leg? Won't it cause instability?
Sorry to have missed this post, it is only after Gixxer told me that I got to know I have missed all these posts

Thanks & Yes it was indeed a good deal, it took us almost 45mnts to get this deal, Infact this was 200 more than what I had expected

Lol at the 2.2k same price, Yes I replaced only the RHS leg & it isnt any problem becuase the fiero & pulsar share the same spec fork legs & are inter changeable, this was confirmed as already since Gixxer has done the same thing long time back

He has a mental block or a kinda rev-limiter when it comes to bargaining for price!! He never pays more than 2.2k for anything!! About the spares, the hunt will be on.

Talking about pillions, what about the couple of high revving 'wide' chassis we saw today? The one in red leggings surely made my day!!Like i said such wide chassis will save the lucky guys more than 30k when it comes to delivery cost.
Coming to the brake, yup we'll do it ASAP.
