Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Where is the drain bolt? Has it been tightened properly? I could see oil spilled on ground also. Did you take the bike for a spin? How did oil spill all over?Originally posted by babaji View Post

The engine cover on the right side (where the clutch wire is attached) is the right hand side crank case cover.
Don't worry just tell the svc guys what I called it and use exact terminology and they will open the right part and tell them to change the packing material used between the cover and the crank case. Its like a thin paper like outline of the crank case cover which is usually blue, green, or light brown in colour. Don't let the svc guys reuse the old packing material, insist on a new one. Have the packing on the left side also checked while you're at it and also the drain bolt oil seal and washer. Cheers

That's not a surprise after looking at the oil trails on the case.Originally posted by babaji View PostJust checked. The oil meter shows less than half oil remaining. [emoji33]
Can you take a picture of the crank-case from underneath, perhaps we can identify drain-bolt. However, it should be easy identify using owner's manual anyway.
Does anybody know the purpose of this(indicated) bolt?Last edited by SparKot; 10-25-2014, 10:39 PM.There is no honest path to prosperity - KoKa

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
That was an impulse post after putting it in the centre stand. The oil level is the same as mentioned before. More than 2/3rd.Originally posted by Balgi View PostWow I just saw this. Get to svc fast mate. I think your crank case itself might be leaking. Let's pray its not that coz that means its a big issue.Sometimes it is the people who no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine.

Well that's a relief. That means its just the engine packing on the right side. Easily rectifiable. But do insist on new packing and don't accept any excuses from them.
Btw I think that bolt in the pic is meant to keep the oil filter in place but I could be wrong.
Cheers

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Drain bolt seems different from GS150R's and simpler:Originally posted by babaji View PostSome snaps of the bottom
You may want to wipe leaked mess with waste/dry cloth before next run. You may be able to figure out the leaking source on the next run/start.
Are you referring to gaskets here?Originally posted by Balgi View Post... the packing material used between the cover and the crank case. Its like a thin paper like outline of the crank case cover which is usually blue, green, or light brown in colour...There is no honest path to prosperity - KoKa
