KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
That hugger is a useless afterthought job. Its just in Indian bikes. Remove it, its anyway useless. The spray will be there, regardless of its presence.Originally posted by GeeGee View PostMotorcycling heals, big time...

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
It isn't afterthought though. It reduces the spray to a great extent, both for the rider as well as others behind you as I've seen my hugger filled with mud. I have D390.Originally posted by ynike99 View PostThat hugger is a useless afterthought job. Its just in Indian bikes. Remove it, its anyway useless. Well utility or not may be a debate. However, i dont mind it sitting there, else i would have to find a place to keep the hugger if i remove.Originally posted by Gunslingin_Ridr View PostIt isn't afterthought though. What can be the solution to refix it there.

You can try removing and see, it will still spray on your back/helmet. I had extended the rear hugger by 4/5 inches using the small flap near rear shock on my duke.It had stopped the spray completely. But having seen many cases of the metal pipes breaking down, i removed it from my rc the very next day of delivery.
And its not on any models outside. Nor it was a part of design. Its just an afterthought/something added later just to comply with regulations similar to the 10kg😁 grabrail provided on rc.
If you want to keep it, after the welding job, ask the guy to drill 2 holes at the base, such that no water will stay inside pipes.Last edited by ynike99; 07-21-2015, 11:25 PM.Motorcycling heals, big time...

Actually the thing that is holding it can be moved forward etc in different directions you won't have that problem. Yeah they are expensive but that's better way to protect phone.Originally posted by Venkat0412 View PostThanks for your reply bro!!!

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
5 days and I am nowhere close to getting my bike fixed. But i am a glass half full kind of person. I have moved the bike from gurgaon svc to the one near my place that is ghaziabad svc near Vaishali metro station.
And currently working on the idea of getting the black alloys from Duke 200 fitted on the RC. Orange was not my color, but since the bike came with the tag ' You can have any color as long as it is orange' I was out of options. But now a window of opportunity has opened.
This ghaziabad svc is a big one and stocks up on spares big time. They have in stock the 200's black alloys and the best part is they have 6 flange hub alloy. Most of the 200 have 4 flange hub. But few of the newer models have that six flange ones. And the RC's and D390 come with 6 flange hub, you get the picture.
I have a few questions though.
Will these alloys from 200 be a simple swap job on rc. Service center guys are sure that it indeed is, though they have not done this before. All i know is that the weight is same and so are the other dimensions. Does any one know of any distinction or any problem that could be encountered. Any issue with the abs?
P.s: I won't be getting insurance. So that's another thing to consider. But the bike does need wheels. Glass half full

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Theoretically , if you are using the rims of the same size , weight and dimensions ... it should be all right . Also they are from the same company so quality or design should not be an issue.Originally posted by mehuel View Post5 days and I am nowhere close to getting my bike fixed. How is the Ghaziabad SVC in terms of workmanship , customer service , quality of parts , worker experience level and efficiency ? Is it an independant KTM svc or a Bajaj svc ?
Thanks and regardsAnd then the lord said "Let there be Bike": And there was bike
And the lord saw the bike, and it was Goooood!

I have got just one service done here. Over all experience was good. They have plenty of stock for every thing. But beware of the washing guy, he will bend the radiator fins, so keep an eye on him and tell him in advance to not use pressure around that area. Rest all is good I was in and out in 2 hrs flat. Workmanship is good aswell, the guys there are pretty experienced and helpful. As time and kms progress, i will be able to better comment on this

If yes , then which one would you say is the better svc ?Originally posted by mehuel View PostI have got just one service done here. Over all experience was good.
