Both petrol and gas are right
Gas is just short for Gasoline which is the Term more commonly used in the US for petrol

"Gasoline /ˈɡsəln/, known as petrol /ˈpɛtrəl/ outside of North America, is a transparent, petroleum-derived liquid that is used primarily as a fuel in internal combustion engines. It consists mostly of organic compounds obtained by the fractional distillation of petroleum, enhanced with a variety of additives; a 42-gallon barrel of crude oil yields about 19 gallons of gasoline, when processed in an oil refinery." -Wiki

They do ship to anywhere in India, once you get the size right its a smooth process to work with them.
Had a good experience buying from them.

The showroom guys at Chennai said that the warranty applies only for the first owner. A friend of mine said that warranty can be transfered. The bike has only 800kms on the odo. Could any of you'll please shed some light on this. I remember even in the past a Yamaha dealer telling me that the warranty applies only for first registered owner.......... Not sure... Please help
That is wrong information from what i know. There is nothing that states warranty is applicable only to first owner. The clause of warranty getting void is if any service within the warranty period is skipped, atleast that is the main clause.

Ask them to give this in writing , that should make things fall in place.

hmm... thanks bro . Though this is an editited pic. Everything is black and grey except the trellis frame. The fairing is not white/orange and even the bike colour is the effect black and not the actual black on the bike. But ya gives an idea (tho I dont like the look on this one :P ) . ..... Im kinda in two minds now, got the visor stickered Matt black and the bike looks darn sexy now .... immediately changed the name of bike from "Toothless" to "Night Fury" :P ....

Long back in this forum, before deliveries had started someone had posted a pic with tyres coloured black (using MS Paint), and that caught my fancy~! below is the pic that he had put (dnt remember the name) -

Exactly what I think as well .... IMHO the black makes it look bigger and meaner (The tyre also seems fatter) ..... Orange gives it a more fun/boyish kinda look. The boyish look is suited I guess as in international markets as its a entry level sports bike ... however for a guy on the other worst side of 25, black tyres suit my taste more ....
and the orange trellis frame is accentuated even more and look nicer as then it remains the only orange colour part on the bike (apart from stickers)

problem is this is a computer edit and not a real pic ..... so can't really be sure !

However yours might be from a newer lot and have some better firmware

Gloves I would recommend try out TBG(review) these guys are awesome for gloves dont know if they sell in Delhi

So if you know how to check engine oil in a 220 its the same window, also you would need the bike to be straight and not leaned over to a side(moreover my mechanic says they fill the oil to a lower level since all the oil leak issues were reported in duke however you can see the oil if the bike is straight)

You can get a tank pad (some one in ebay sells the KTM tank pad for 1k ) however RC specific tank pads are not in market yet.

I tried using my Cramster saddlebags from 220 they were ok .. the best would be a tank bag (viaterra fly)

Hi I saw that you say 1.8 k is normal idle RPM the bike manual states 1.5 +-2 (if my memory serves me right )
Do you have any friends whose idle is also 1.8 or just you .. My bike idles @ 1.6
                  Thanks dear. much appreciated.
Would update once i am all saddled.
I saw one guy touring on RC for 500 km plus however i am not sure how comfortable it would be if those 500 kms plus also include a few city traffics. Though on a freeway or even in lighter city traffic its a breeze.
One more thing i noticed today that the fuel gauge is not linear. It suddenly dropped to reserve. is it same with everybody else.

That is how it is with me as well as I noticed for the first time yesterday. Dropped 2 points in a span of about 2 kms and moved to reserve :O ....

As far as TBG short cuff gloves are concerned, a few friends had problems with seams ripping up within a month, may be the initial batch had problems.

Its clearly stated in the the user manual that warranty is valid only when the bike is in the first owners name (website says bike specific though).

My bike idles @1900rpm. I have checked several other dukes and Rc390 in bangalore which have similar idling speed. I enquired with the svc regarding the same and they suggested it's normal. Moreover idling cannot be adjusted on this engine as doesn't have throttle body adjusting screw like R15.

Check your user manual, it ll clear info as to where you can find the engine no.
The VIN no is on the left side of the chassis near the steering cone.
The VIN number is used to determine the manufacturing date.

Oh is it, my bad then. Never had heard of this problem before.
Warranty is supposed to be for the bike, not the owner, how does this make sense.

I love the orange wheels, I love them when they are clean! It's just my taste. During my waiting period even I was reluctant about the orange wheels and I had the idea of coloring black. But after spending quite sometime with my bike (RC 200), I'm just starting to love them.

Okay went down to office basement and took pics :P

Place: Mount road Chennai. There are many stickering/accessories shops here.

Sticker - matt black colour is i think the most common and standard sticker for the visor. Every sticker guy will have it. It is normal sticker nothing special.

Cost - i paid 600. But that is on the higher side as I didn't haggle as such and got it done at the first shop i went to. I think 500 would be a good price for it.

Note - just make sure the stickering guy has the heating machine (looks like a hair dryer) Without that it will not stick properly/neatly.
Also suggest don't get the stickering done in small pieces. My complete visor section has total 3stickers, one for the middle and 1each on both sides. Looks neat enough to me. Removed the number plate abd RVMs first. He took a little less than 2 hours to do the whole job.

                              Below are pics -

Yes, I am now beginign to like the orange too!! :P .... sometimes I think I will miss the orange if I paint the rims black.

Also little mods done are - Saree guard, rear fender and side hand grabrail removed.

                              Mods thinking/ brainstorming on -

                              1) A smaller and narrower rear fender - I dont like the whole tyre naked. Ideally would like a small and narrow fender under the chasis which covers the top part of the tyre but reveals the width clearly from the back side

                              2) Rims coloured Matt black - lets what happens here :P

                              3) Bike Sound - I really like the underbelly exhaust, and don't want a normal one. But i want slightly better sound :-/ .... I remember when the Duke was to be launched KTM has somewhere mentioned this specially crafted exhaust has a "catalyic converter" and a "decibel limiter" . Now my mind keeps tellling me try fiddle with it :P .... I wonder if these parts can be tweaked? .... I dont want to remove the decibel limiter altogether If that will make the sound too loud and me a nuisance on road :P .....I have a feeling the catalytic converter seems to be the cultprit who is doing more than just converting gases and making the bike go tak-tak ...not sure. Anyone has opinions? I want better sound but not ready to put a visible exhaust :P

                              4) - A Piggyback ECU remap - this will happen post 10-15K kms only or after 1 year (whichever comes later)...but yea I have this in mind :P
